I got this book with the thought of understanding Joel Osteen better. By understanding John Osteen, Joel's father, and getting a glimpse of the spiritual genealogy that has become such a important ingredient in that family's DNA can help me garner more when I read Joel's books. Joel often credits his father in his sermons and books as the originator and himself as the heir to the ministry. After reading this book, I can see why John was and Joel is spiritually successful.
What I noticed is that a lot of the principles Joel preaches and writes on are actually ones taught by his father. In this book, John becomes the teacher. He uses biblical scripture after scripture on each point, so much more than Joel, with the possible exception of his first book. This book is a reference and I will use it many times in the future.
The other point which this book deserves to have mentioned is that on using Elisha and Elijah as his focal points, John illustrates principles in much greater detail than most other books in the inspirational genre. The difference is he not only tells you what you should do, but gives you the formula as to HOW to do it. This book also gives you the signs to watch for when you think you're succeeding or failing.
Overall, this book is a must for the ones that love scripture and watch or read Joel Osteen. I intend on getting other books penned by John Osteen and I recommend this book to just about everyone.

BECOMING A MAN OF UNWAVERING FAITH by John Osteen Forword by Joel Osteen is an great inspirational,eductional read. What a wonderful educational tool.It is an excellent resource for christians. John Osteen gives the reader seven tools for the qualities of a steadfast faith and provides principles to help christian when their faith doesn't seem to work.A must read for any and all christians wanting to grow in their faith and learn good sound principles for the moments of struggles,temptations,and the times whn you feel you are surrounded and being attacked on all sides. My husband checked this out, but I thought I would listen to it also. Heavily scripture based, Joel Osteen gives good suggestions to men on increasing faith. I thought it was interesting and that women could gain as much as a man from listening to this audiobook.
It wasn't as good as Every Day a Friday, but definitely worthwhile.

I’m so glad I came across this book! It’s a wonderful treasure! I picked up this book thinking it was the author’s account of how he became a man of unwavering faith. Although it’s partly that, it’s actually a “how to” and “why to” book of faith for men. Even though some topics are addressed directly to men, this is a book for Christian men and women.
Becoming a Man of Unwavering Faith is amazingly different than anything I’ve read thus far. John Osteen demonstrated so much trust in God. His faith resembled the faith of numerous prophets, apostles and people of faith recorded in Hebrews 11 and throughout the Bible.
This book encourages, teaches, guides, and inspires. It stirs up your faith for whatever you need or may need in the future. It helped me to reassess and increase my faith levels.
This book would be great for individual study, small groups, and Bible study. It’s a great resource to use when learning about prayer, faith, and Christianity. I’m going to buy extra copies for gifts.
The teaching is straight-forward and strong. Some points are given in a matter-of-faith style, but words are soaked with passion and care. The author really wanted to help Christians receive Bible-kind of faith. If you have a sincere desire for a strong relationship with the Lord, this book will certainly help get you there.
This book would be an excellent Bible companion and guide for new Christians. It’ll assist with starting and helping along the way in the Christian journey. Teachings and testimonies are supported by scripture and lead directly to God and the Bible.
This book is an excellent source for building a strong faith foundation and would save years of study and discovery. And spiritual confidence would be gained to step out in faith much sooner.

This was an excellent work from John Osteen on ways for men to grow in faith. Thoughtful and insightful, it's definitely a worthwhile and pleasant read.

My Review: If you have ever wondered what it is like to live a life of unlimted faith then this book explains how. It describes the seven things people do to get the most out of life and how to trust God for everything. People think that faith is something you have but this book also explains that faith is something that you do. It goes into depth of each of the seven steps that you do. Go back in time and blow your mind on how Word of Faith preaching started. This is pure faith in its infancy revelation stage, which is still relevant and applicable today.
Just need to take note of specific portions that seem to borderline on works and interpret with care based on other teachings and revelations that are more current.
Nonetheless, this book is awesome if u wanna get a sense of what pure faith is like. It will blow your mind.

I am so amazed at how John Osteen comes straight to the point of what faith is and how we are to walk in it according to the Word of God. I recommend this book. It's open my eyes to some misconceptions I have had over the years about prosperity teachers. Everything we set out hearts to believe must be diligently lined up with and tested by the living, breathing Word of God! And if He said it, it is truth that can be acted on and believed.
