Day She Prayed

Rate this book
New Christian convert Tally Gilbert knows the power of prayer and the pain of walking away. She’s witnessed family and friends' healing, salvation, and deliverance. There’s one holdout, and he’s at the top of her prayer list. The love of her life, Randall Addams, won’t surrender to the Lord, so Tally ends the relationship. What will it take for Randall to turn to God? Will Tally’s prayers be answered, or will Randall—and their love—be lost forever?

Don’t underestimate a woman who knows how to pray, has backup, and believes “The Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing the soul from the spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12.
If the devil wants a battle, he picks the wrong woman to fight.

Day She Prayed

The Intercessors Series is the absolute BEST! Randall and Tally’s journey separately and together I was written so well. The church family rallied and covered folks in prayer. Although fiction, it gives a glimpse into the daily struggles of the God’s people walking out their faith! So inspiring to keep trusting and praying!

Pat Simmons has given us another inspirational read that will keep you captivated and shocked. One thing I appreciate that she addressed is church hurt, which is why a lot of people stay away from the church. She doesn't gaslight individuals that have experienced it, but ask some tough questions and does attempt to correct and help those that have been hurt. It does continue off where the first book end, so that book should be read prior to this one. One thing about her, she will warn me that something will happen that might make me a little mad, so I wasn't totally blindsided when a certain thing happened in the book, but I loved how she turned it around. Not going to lie, I was getting a little nervous as I was reading. And although it's not her normal romance story, she will sprinkle some romance, which I especially enjoyed. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Day She Prayed (The Intercessors Book 2)

Beautifully written novel continuing on where the first book left off. It reminds us we are to witness to family, friends and all those unsaved. It shows us how to intercede for those in need of prayer, having faith and accepting God's will for the outcome. Understanding that we are ambassadors for Christ and that we are not to judge others but instead witness to them about Jesus Christ our Saviour. Excellent, I found myself rejoicing when some received Christ and sad when He was rejected. It shows us that God still works miraculous miracles!
A must read book for those interested in growing closer to God's will and calling. Prayer and fasting is essential along with faith to trust and believe.

This story by Pat Simmons did not disappoint. Who would not want a praying friend like Talley Gilbert. Tally Gilbreth was a woman after God’s own heart. Her beauty, her broken heart, or anything caused her to lose her faith-she was all in and totally committed to a life of Christ. The young lady refused to be unequally yoked. God had to take Randall Adams the drastic route because he was fiercely obstinate about surrendering to Christ. But despite his swagger, his charm, his wealth, his handsomeness, and his sincere love for family, God had to make a believer of this young man. But you have to buy the book to see how the story ends.

Day She Prayed is the second book in The Intercessors series, a Christian fiction book about one woman standing in faith while helping others find their way to the Lord. It is about a community built with prayer warriors. It is well-written and shares it’s not too late to seek out the Lord and ask for forgiveness. This book blessed me and warmed my heart (here were tears).

Yesterday I purchased this book on base, and got to meet the author. I have never read any of her books, but was lead to these books! Well written, easy to read, and I couldn’t put it down. The characters are easy to relate to and the story is wonderful. I did feel like the end was a little rushed but still a wonderful story. Spiritual Warfare is real and this book shows just how strong faith can be! I love all the scripture, & how clean this book is! Pat Simmons has earned a fan!

WOW is all I can say about this book. There is power in a praying woman. All Tally knew to do after she was saved was pray for her man to accept Jesus' salvation, but when he wouldn't she let him go. This book was a page turner. I highly recommend. After every page I was saying wow and praising God. Every chapter I felt like I was there the author did a fantastic job. Can't wait for the third book.

OMG (Oh My Goodness) If you love Christian Fiction, this book is for you. This is the second book of The Intercessors. We follow Tally's decisions/Christian walk. The author did a great job writing this story. It is a page-turner that is thought-provoking, will increase your prayer life, and will have you examining your own life/Christian walk. The author did a great job with this book. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Picking up from the ending of book one, we find Randall still in a bitter place. His relationship with Tally has ended and he is not happy. Tally on the other hand is thriving in her relationship with God although it tore her away from her first love. She is making new friends and being a witness for God.

This is a quick read. The characters are well written and relatable. They show just how easy it is to fall into traps of this world. I look forward to the next book!

🔥🔥Captivating writing ✍🏾

Many lessons and messages from this continuation from, "Day Not Promised. My favorite is the none judgement of the church characters. Tell about Jesus Christ and salvation, allow God's grace. As usual, I rejoiced when a person repented and accepted salvation and love provided by God through His Son. I read and studied the scriptures. Each book that I have read from the author could be a bible study guide.

God Deserves All the Glory! Be ready to be convicted, encouraged, and entertained!

I’ll forever be a Pat Simmons stan. It’s so hard to find good Christian Fiction literature. I’ve read the Family is Forever series and then moved to the Intercessors series and am thoroughly enjoying them. This book is my favorite so far! Talk about conviction. The Holy Spirit was leading me to repent as I was reading. Will be reading the rest of her catalogue.

Tally Gilbert was a true prayer warrior. This book had me rethinking my own prayer life and how much more I could not only pray more for myself, my family and friends but strangers as well when I am led to or asked to pray for. Her prayers led souls to Christ and salvation. This is an example of how we should live.

Inspiring and Thought Provoking

I loved reading this book. It gave me so many things to think about, and really inspired me in my faith. I pray that God uses it to reach someone who doesn’t know Christ to want to know him. Thank you Pat.

I LOVE this series by Pat Simmons. In Day She Prayed, readers see new convert Tally leave the love of her life for the Lover of her soul. It was wonderful to see Tally’s prayer life and obedience to God bless the lives of her family, friends, and even strangers. Yet, one prayer remains unanswered. The harder Tally prayed, the more stubborn Randall became. He’s his own man, with no need for God. Pat has weaved a beautiful story of salvation, redemption, and romance. Kudos Pat. Can’t wait for book 3.

Another great read by Mrs. Simmons! I’ve read every novel that is in current publication (Grandma BB is due later), and have not been disappointed. I laugh, I cry, and I pray. I literally find myself praying for these characters. Tally Gilbreth was a woman after God’s own heart. Her beauty, her broken heart, or anything caused her to lose her faith-she was all in and totally committed to a life of Christ. I just love Randall’s comment that Tally wouldn’t find another man in or out of the church that would love her like he does. Now that’s man after my own heart! Tally knew his statement to be pretty true, and she loved him equally, just not more than she loved Christ. The young lady refused to be unequally yoked. As in true life, if God has a calling for you to come to Him, he will continue to woo you even if He has to take drastic measures. God had to take Randall Adams the drastic route because he was fiercely obstinate about surrendering to Christ. But despite his swagger, his charm, his wealth, his handsomeness, and his sincere love for family, God had to make a believer of this young man. But you have to buy the book to get the 4.1.1. on how God set it up and the powerful testimony Randall gained from his experience.
