Overall a decent read.
The dialogue needs some work. I had to remind myself several times that Mac was a man, because he sounds so feminine! I also caught myself several times saying out loud, "No one actually talks like that!"
I also had an issue with the way she transitioned from storytelling mode into real time dialogue with Josef. There should be a break made or different font or something to indicate the change. I had to reread several passages because I wasn't sure if it was a now or then paragraph.
Other then that, the story itself was great, the research into the Wiccan world was obviously thorough, and accurate, and I am curious enough and hopeful enough to read the next book.

3.5 stars. Not a bad read, I enjoyed the supernatural world created by Ms. Knudsen. The book seems to go really slowly for me, however there was a ton of info crammed into the story. There needed to be a better way to differentiate between Mac telling his story and the bits of banter he had with Josef in between. It got very confusing and pulled me out of the story. That was really the only negative about this book. I'll definitely check out this author's other novels!

Really enjoyed it. Even more than her first book! :) Recommend it!
