A young man travels to China to learn the story of Meiling Chan, an old woman who survived the horrendous, and virtually unknown, Chinese holocaust perpetrated by the Japanese Imperial Army. She describes her experience growing up in China in the 1920’s & 30’s and the war that consumed China following the invasion in 1937.
After learning of an unforgivable betrayal committed by her beloved sister Elizabeth, Meiling recounts the journey she takes to murder her sister, in the name of justice.
From a peaceful, prosperous life, to the destruction of everything she holds dear; from childhood to womanhood, Meiling’s tale is one of love and loss; courage and fear.
