Six young friends become Time Soldiers when they stumble onto a secret time portal, leading them to an ancient world of dinosaurs and danger. The Time Soldiers fight to survive, escape the T. rex's fury, and make it home alive.
This was the worst kids book I’ve ever read. Even my kid thought it didn’t make any sense. The writing was atrocious, and the images made the storytelling even worse.
Kids book***This series of books would be very interesting for those kids who have a hard time getting into fiction. They are fictional, but seem like informational books.
I actually read the Samurai and the Mummy time traveller books. Each one is an adventure story with 10-13 year olds who travel into the past. The illustrations are photographs. It is very nicely done. The kids in the book research the time they are going back to. They dress up in costume or make it from blankets they've sewn together. They have some sort of adventure and make it home in 48 pages. Government spies are hoping they'll bring something back(?) The spies say "time is running out" for something. Some of the other topics are: pirates, Arthur, dinosuars, etc.
If I could give this book more than five stars, I'd give it 5,000, not to mention that I really liked it. Oh! and there was this kid that looked just. like. me. And there was gold in that book.
Very simple text with great graphics make this book an excellent choice for reluctant readers who want something modern and engaging. 2nd thru 5th grades.
