Kylie Jean is usually good at everything she does. Now she's giving basketball a try. Dribble, pass, and shoot. That sounds simple enough. So how come learning to play basketball is so hard?
Kylie Jean is a series of chapter books for girls. If your child loves reading Judy Moody or Ramona Quimby then these books will keep your child’s attention. Kylie Jean loves taking part in any competition going on in her school or in the community. The books also shows how close Kylie Jean is with her family especially her Ugly Brother the dog…and don’t go telling him he’s a dog…lol!
I love that Marci Peschke tackled bullying in the Drama Queen book and showing Kylie Jean’s kind and thoughtful side. Kylie Jean makes kids believe that no matter the task if you keep practicing you will be better at it. If you are looking for a good chapter book to start your child reading then I recommend Kylie Jean series. Check out the study guide and cooking recipes at the end of the book.
I got this for my daughter many moons ago - she was needing a book for a book report, and at the time she was into Basketball.
She loved the story, she had no problems keeping up with the plot line and was able to get a good grade for it also. She really loved the pink pretty cover and the girl looks like her also - which is always a good thing to keep their interest :)
Like most Southern belles of fiction, Kylie Jean is a sweet "fried green tomato" who won't be "gone with the wind" any time soon. This one has Kylie trying out for the Little Dribbler Girls' Basketball Team for a charity game. The most free throws gets the winner enough money for charity to help save mankind...or at least it'll help! Kylie owns the court with style, pizzazz and good grace. She's the fictional Sheryl Swoops--There she is!
C'est un gros coup de cœur ce livre. La petite fille et ses valeurs m'ont vraiment touchée et c'est un livre que je suggère de mettre dans les mains des fillettes. Une belle histoire, de l'humour, de belles causes.
Kylie Jean has aspirations to be a beauty-queen. Once you get past that less than inspiring life goal, this is a sweet little story about young girl with a loving family, an ugly bulldog and good heart. Another nice pick for those girls wanting more than an early reader.
