"This book contains a lot of wisdom [my father] imparted to us as my brother and I grew up and as my father learned through his own experiences of life... Its wisdom will transform the lives of all those who read it so that as they metabolize the insights contained here they will develop the ability to take responsibility for tier well-being and begin to understand what it means to hold your life in your own hands." Deepak Chopra, M.D.
I read this book years and years ago. I presume this is the edition I read because there was no mention of Deepak being one of two authors.
I really enjoyed this book especially due to the fact that I agreed with probably everything Doctor Chopra said.
I also do not believe in putting my entire wellbeing in the hands of one person regardless of his or her qualifications. That can be very risky. Just because a person has a credential, it doesn't by any standard guarantee quality of care or competence. A doctor can be board certified, but all that often means is he knows how to take a test (based on my own personal experiences). Some of them have 2 or 3, and I find that frightening because it means their minds are wondering around among and between 2 or 3 different subspecialties, and they probably don't have time to be experts in all two or three.
