Review: This is a fun, sexy read that consists mainly of a single sex scene. The characters are attractive, and the setting a popular fantasy.
Review for Brief Encounters Reviews: http://briefencountersreviews.com/201...

The story is explicit and bold from the start, a bit like Jonas himself! I liked him, a man who doesn’t stint himself, who enjoys life to the full. And he’s being teased on a regular basis by Will, who works on the coffee stall in Jonas’ office building. For most of the year, Jonas is smart and controlled, but at Christmas he likes the seasonal sights, smells and tastes, leading us to his appreciation of peppermint latte :).

The scenes moved relatively quickly to the two men getting together. In a longer story, the reader could have experienced their cheeky banter, rather than being told how it had built up over the months. However, what the short format may have lost in unrelieved sexual tension, it made up for in explicitly relieved sexual tension! And note well: you’ll have to suspend disbelief about sex in the office, if you find that scenario uneasy or unlikely :). The author’s style was well-crafted, very readable, with flashes of wit. The sex scene was well written, hot and vividly drawn. All the senses are engaged from the start, when they flirt at the coffee stall: It was long, nimble fingers dancing between the espresso machine and a glass, the soft clinking of a spoon and the frothy white of foam being poured, to the final consummation.

Like Jonas, I really liked Will’s cheesy sassiness, though we don’t get to know much more about him. I admired the clever twist of territorial control, after Jonas called Will to his office. Jonas also seems moved by Will more than sexually. Jonas wondered what it would be like to really know him, as a person. He imagined Will would be adventurous and good-humored. Hell, were he not so annoyed at Will all the time, Jonas wondered if he might actually like Will. This was intriguing, but only offered as tell rather than show. I’d want more evidence to believe it’d be a multi-night stand, let alone a relationship.

The spanking was fun, but felt over the top for a first time with someone Jonas barely knew, however eager they both said they were. Of course it’s only fiction, but the BDSM references were jarring for me, and not because I don’t like reading BDSM. For example, I didn’t need the spanking to find their sex hot. Also, Jonas’ use of the word ‘boy’ to describe Will was off-putting. I wasn’t aware Jonas was a Dom, and Will wasn’t in any context a boy – although there weren’t specific age references in the story.

For me, there wasn’t enough time with the characters to build a romance. But as a sex scene, it was hot and stimulating, and the author created a very tantalising scenario. I rate it a B.

by pettyprose…my opinion alone.

Very cute, and extremely naughty story about Will, the barista, who aunts and teases Jonas, the office worker, into spanking him. The antagonism Jonas feels from the guy is such that he cannot help himself and finally gives in to the challenge of disciplining Will. What follows is very hot, very passionate office sex with a definite promise of more.

If you like stories that are as hot a they are shot, if you believe that a little "discipline" can enhance the enjoyment of sex between two men, and if you're looking for a bit of naughty Christmas spirit, then you will probably like this short story.

OMG what can I say, other than Jeanette, you have done it again. This story was so hot it made me tingly all over. I loved the exchange of power between Jonas and Will and how Jonas finally found someone that he could possibly have a relationship with. I would have loved to get to know more about Jonas and Will but after such a powerful connection, I am happy to think that they ended up having a very long and passionate love affair.
