Searching for a life blessed with peace and happiness? Longing to move past old expectations and learn to live in the moment? Spiritual Lessons for My Sisters takes readers one step beyond the advice found in Munson's successful first book, Life Lessons for My Sisters , by reminding them not only of the basic truths of life ("Forgiving Is Power"; "This Too Shall Pass") but also showing them the path to a happier, more fulfilling life through spirituality.

Munson offers strategies to help women remove themselves from the drama, issues, obstacles, negative people, bad environments, and fears that are holding them back from creating the life they have always wanted. From basic lessons like "Be Careful Who You Hang Around" and "Life Is About Timing," to more complex advice like "Leave a Legacy" and "Patience Is a Form of Faith," Spiritual Lessons for My Sisters is the perfect complement to Munson's Life Lessons and belongs on the shelves of African American women of all ages.

Author & Speaker Natasha Munson is a well organized collection of short inspirations to help women remove drama, issues, obstacles, negativity, bad environments, and fears. While rooted in a Christian ideology, there's still a lot to take from it if you happen to belong to a different faith. Whether one believes in a God/higher being, a takeaway is courageously acknowledging the areas of hurt in order to take control back.

There are times we face problems in life. Often we feel stuck among and around people as you feel it's rare if people would understand things from your POV and you need some advice or some one to lend an ear and see things as you see. When we don't see that happening we feel lonely. After all We don't get to choose friends or people whom we are surrounded by in life. We have people in life because we went to same place aka school, college , work. And by default, they happened. So how you find such person in life. That is why books are blessings in disguise.
"Spiritual Lessons for My Sisters: How to Get Over the Drama and Live Your Best Life!" is one of the best read for me this year till now. This book has a piece of advice on almost all general problems most people face. I wish I had read this long way. Might have saved myself from many bad experiences. Nevertheless , the bad moments make me relish and cherish this book more. Totally loved it from cover to cover. This is one of those books I shall keep coming back to when I shall feel out of place among people or need some good advice. Needless to say I shall keep re reading it from time to time.

Reading Spiritual Lessons for My Sisters is like having a real heart to heart chat with a close friend- the type of friend who stands beside you during the tough times and inspires you to do better but also calls you on your self-destructive behaviors and kicks your butt when you need that too.

The book consists of seventy-five life lessons. Each of these realizations is explored using analogy, common situations, real life experiences, and in some cases poetry. These notes encourage woman to look within, take responsibility for their lives, seek happiness, and to have faith in themselves, their future, and in their spiritual beliefs.

Spiritual Lessons for My Sisters contains a powerful message that speaks to our often hidden genuine selves- the part of each of us that wishes to take control of our lives, seek healthy relationships, strive for fulfilling careers, and ultimately enjoy both the good times and the more challenging aspects of our lives. The author shows us that achieving our goals and having a life of contentment is completely realistic and within the grasp of all who choose to work towards that end.

This book was really inspiring to me. I would recommend this book to any woman who is looking for some direction in life or spiritual guidance. The book is very intense its almost like she's been knowing you for years with the points she makes. I use this book as a manual for my everyday life or apart of my daily routine. I also recommend "Life Lessons For My Sisters" by Natasha Munson. Thank you Natasha for believing in your sisters.

This book is full of well told stories about varying life lessons. There is an affirmation given after each lesson. I am enjoying this book. It seems that whenever I pick it up, I am reading something that applies to my life at that moment- I love it when that happens. It is a friendly reminder that everything is in order~

This book was truly a blessing to my soul. It uplifted me and lead me to a good happy space. I would suggest to book to everyone not just women. The author reinforced things I already knew and introduced me to new thoughts and practices. There is a lot to be learned from this book. I checked out of the lock library but this is a book I will by to refer back to.
