Some of the grammar explanations were terse and ineffectual, but I was able to look them up elsewhere, so at least I knew what to expect. We'll see how well the book prepared me next week.

A good guide but it is more of a revision than a reference and source. You need another accompanying comprehensive textbook as your main source of information.
