About the author

I always thought I had been born a hundred years too late, but I do appreciate air conditioning, computers and other conveniences of modern day living. I love the slower pace of New Bern, North Carolina as well as the history and small town community. Imagine a neighborhood where people wave at one another and keep eye out for the children. It's like living in the 1950s. In addition to dreaming up my next story, of which there are always two or three in the works, I enjoy reading everything from children’s books to romance to mysteries to vampire adventure, singing in my church choir and needle-weaving.

A short story continuing the relationship/courtship of Adam Tomlinson, Alpha wolf, and Margot Jackson, human, as she gradually takes her place as Alpha-female among wolf-shifters who are angry that the very handsome and wealthy Alpha is "off the market." Lower rating because this story has real possibilities and is way, way too short. Made me just a little upset. Cooper McKenzie is a very good writer and could have teased this one out a whole lot more.
