Somuncu moved from Turkey to Germany with his parents in 1969. He studied Music, Acting and Directing in Maastricht (NL) and Wuppertal (GER). Among other Awards, he received the Prix Pantheon for his programs dealing with Hitler`s "Mein Kampf" and Goebbel`s Sportpalast speech.
