aka Judy Kaye

Judy Baer was born and grew up on a farm on the prairies of North Dakota, USA. An only child, she spent most of her days with imaginary people-either those she read about or those she made up in her head. Her most ambitious conjuring did not succeed, however. She kept a clean stall with hay and oats for the horse she imagined would come but unfortunately, it never did. As an adult, however, she managed to make that dream come true and raised foundation quarter horses and buffalo for some years. A voracious reader, Judy learned to read with comic books, anything from Little Lulu and Superman to the Rawhide Kid. She sold her first story for $10.00 to a farm magazine. She still has the $10.00.

She graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota with a major in English and education and a minor in religion. At the time, she was simply studying what interested her, but now realizes that she was educating herself for her future career as an inspirational christian romance writer.

Judy wanted to write for Harlequin even in high school but it wasn't until her youngest child learned to say "No" that she realized that she'd better consider a second career to fall back on when mothering was done. Her first book was written with her little girl on her lap. Judy would type a few words, say "Now, Jennifer," at which time her daughter would hit the space bar before Judy continued typing. It wasn't the fastest way to work, but it offered a lot of mother-daughter time together. An over-achiever, she's written 71 books for various publishers. The mother of two and step-mother of three, she now has lots of family to enjoy.

In 2001, she went back to school and became a certified professional life coach. Currently she is working on her Master's in Human Development in the areas of writing, coaching and spirituality and writing inspirational Chick Lit which, she says, is the most fun she's ever had writing.

I have no idea how this book got so many good rationing a. It was slow with strange religious inserts that felt forced and didn’t add to anything. Couple that with the 3 main characters all falling in love and then a proposal after not actually dating made this book a dud for me

I enjoyed this book and liked most of the characters. Quinn Jack Ben and Pete are all very likable but then there is Maggie who is whiny and obnoxious. Either way I would read it again and I would recommend it

Light and charming inspirational romance. I love the friends in this book, the way they love and support each other through thick and thin, and remind each other to put God first in their lives. A total win for me.

I just found this book while I was browsing in the library. It was not a bad read, but I think the plot and story were very amateur.

Although I am religious, the author's religious inserts into the book were strange to read, like they weren't really necessary for the story.

It was a slow starter for me as well, but once I got past the first person format I was pleasantly surprised. The roommate's persistent negativity was a little much, but I realize it was part of the story, so I trekked on.

Quinn is a model for money and a tutor for her career. Jack's son is in need of tutoring due to juvenile arthritis. Maggie and Pete, Quinn's friends from grade school, are all about the new show CHRYSALIS.

I finished this book tonight and it is a cute easy read. It is a Love Inspired romance (Christian) but it isn't heavy on the religion, in fact it added a nice tone to the story line.

It has a very good message, but the book seemed longer than necessary.

Entertaining. I think I've read it before. I shouldn't read all the books by the same author at once. I get bored with their style and then they're not as good as if I started fresh.

Yes it is a typical romance but I loved the characters and the story they told. I want to read others about them!

I like a book that is a story; but still tells a truth. Hidden beauty is long lasting, physical beauty fades with age.
