These short stories are snapshots of memories of people and places of my childhood, growing up in the south-west of Australia, during the 1950s and early 60s. I was the youngest of six children, and my brother John and I grew up in the South West, living in three different forestry settlements because of our father’s work, and attending different bush schools and convents, and finally boarding school. I lived in Sydney for some years, and came to London in 1972, finally settling here in the UK after both my parents died in 1979. I am now in my mid-seventies, and have one remaining sibling and two nieces.
