Can a mere woman heal a fallen angel's wounds?

Author Tristina Deveroux has been dreaming of a man—a tall, dark, sexy man whose nightly visits bring her to a fever pitch. But come morning, she always awakens agitated and unsatisfied—and alone. When her agent suggests a writer's getaway in Scotland, Tristina can’t resist the chance to gain a little distance, hoping a change of scene will help her escape the dreams and get her mind back into her latest book. But when she receives a passionate letter from a mysterious Scot, she can't resist the urge to meet him. Can love triumph and heal them both from past hurts? Or will the clash of fantasy and reality bring the past back to haunt them?

Dear Reader,

In a man’s letters his soul lies naked.
- Samuel Johnson

“I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe.”- Dalai Lama

I/R Author, Selena Illyria was born with need to write and an over active imagination. She loves to write stories featuring futuristic cities that can only be imagined, visit island kingdoms of vampire/dragons, giggle with mischievous pixies, peek in on faeries looking for their mates, check in on the naughty staff of an exclusive academy, and sigh over how in love a powerful business exec is with his wife. She can’t wait to write stories with her talented, creative and wonderful CPs Celia Kyle begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting and Shara Cooper. And when she’s not writing, she loves to read many different genres of books. She also loves to watch some of her favorite movies (too many to be named) and televisions shows. She also, loves to listen to some of her favorite musical artists. All of these things help inspire her to write. She does believe in the quote above. She does believe that part of writing does bare a part of the soul.

Even the fallen deserve love. That is why Roman needs Tristina as much as she needs him, if not more. Roman’s story is one that reaches home for many of us. He made a mistake, but that mistake has cost him the life that he once knew. Now he can either make the best out of the life he has been given or wallow in what could have been.

The relationship development within this story was consistent and captivating. The dream element to the relationship added an extra something to the story. I think that it made this book stand out from the crowd. That, paired with Roman’s past, really created an intriguing storyline. I could not wait to see what happened with Tris and Roman next, and I was not disappointed from beginning to end.

The descriptions within this tale were spot on at times, especially during the sex scenes. I felt as if I was right there with the characters, experiencing what they were. When describing the characters' surroundings the author was able paint a vivid picture, though it sometimes felt repetitive. For instance, I could clearly picture Roman’s mansion.

I absolutely adored the supporting cast within this story. Chelley and Aidan really added a certain comical element to the book. I have a feeling I will be seeing more of them in the future and I cannot wait. While this may have been the first story I've read in the Fallen Lovers series, I have a pretty good feeling it will not be my last.

I was enjoying this book until I got to the part where the female lead decided she was going to dip her nose into her lover's prior romantic past. Umm...nay. I didn't like that at all.
