Aspiring to be a fireman when he grows up, a young boy pretends that he is fighting a fire and bravely saving a cat's life, in a story with simple rhyming text and punch-out vocabulary flash cards. Original.
Cute easy reading beginner book. A boy plays with his fire fighter toys and then pretends to be a fire fighter himself. A little bit of a fun silly ending. There were also some activities in the back which my kids enjoyed, although they were mostly too easy (rhymes, beginning sounds, which picture is different, etc).
My husband came home with this book one day when my kid was a baby. He's 2 now and the other day came running up to me to read it to him. He LOVES this book because there are pages about trucks and one about a Daddy grilling outside. I think it's nice to teach him about the importance of people in uniforms.

I don't really know how to rate this. It wasn't what I was expecting. It's not a story. It's a teaching aid. It's an exercise to learn how to pronounce letters and form words. It serves a purpose and perhaps very well.
