A good, well-illustrated introduction to geology, with plenty of illustrations and clear - if rather dry - explanations and a glossary of geological terms. The print is slightly on the small side.

It is a very nice introduction to the world of geology: rock, climate, tectonic process, etc. I think this book is a mixture of geology and geography. It is brief but succinct with wondeful photos explaining the classification of rocks, various processes to form the land, the weather, the coast, their movement and their reciprocal relationships in biological evolution. Pretty enough technical terms are described in detail in the glossary.
