A Jaw-dropping Crime Story

Wow! What a narrative. The author doesn’t disappoint when it comes to delving into the mind of a serial killer, who is slowly becoming the faultless executioner but difficult to catch. The tough, ex-military, and forthright Private Detective Tanner Storm is hired by a PI Agency and is handed his first two cases: chasing after cheating husbands but a sudden spin arises, where some inconsistent, multi-complex, multi-racial characters, bona fide dialogue, eerie settings and sudden flashbacks shift the story in a different direction that will set in motion a past unsolved crime and its connection to the present, exposing physical and sexual assault, mental illness, domestic discord, lust, abandonment, betrayal, secrets and lies, and shocking revelations, building up to an ending that will leave you blindsided, reminding us to never judge a book by its cover. If you love plot-driven suspense with so many twists and turns, you’ll love reading this stunning narrative.

This is a well-crafted story of a serial killer and the detective who hunts him down.
This was my first, but not my last by Terry Keys.
This was a quick paced page turner that grabbed me from the start. Well written and really like the characters.
It is a really good detective story and I enjoyed reading it.
Thank you Mr. Keys for such a good read!

I was given a copy by the author but this is my own voluntary review.

Take one creepy predator, add one blunt-talking and witty P.I., stir it up with a lovely lady, a hard-nosed boss, and a two-year crime spree and you have a book that captures you in the first chapter and doesn’t let go until you’ve read the last page. Then you want more.

Tanner Storm has his own demons buried deep and just wants to work where he can concentrate on one case at a time and go home at night. Then chance hands him a mystery that will keep him engrossed almost 24/7. His boss owes the chief of police a favor, and he wants Storm to take the case. Several school teachers are gone but the cases are eerily similar. Storm delves into their files and begins the search for answers. He quickly develops a hunch, but hunches don’t count, he must continue to follow the path to find the culprit.

A well-written story with a loveable hero, this story would deserve 5 stars if the book were a bit longer and the trail to the culprit a bit more convoluted. All in all, though, it is a great story and I’m looking forward to another Tanner Storm mystery

This is a well-crafted story of a serial killer and the detective who hunts him down. The detective has a bit of a Sam Spade feel, while the setting is modern day. This adds a lot of flavor to the story. We get glimpses into the mind of the killer, but do not get the full picture until the detective finds his home and where he keeps his victims. It is a good detective story and I enjoyed reading it.

A PI, Tanner Storm is in for a tough case, this serial killer is pure evil. Just to be safe, gotta warn you, it's a kind of mind bender of a story! The writer knows how to draw you in, just gruesome enough to make you queasy! I received this book in exchange for an honest review. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Very, very good book!
It grabs you from the start and keeps you reading it to the end. I, personally, really wanted to know more about the why-s and how-s, but it works like this as well. Hopefully there's more about Storm to come :)

WOW! I was engrossed from the start. I like less narrative more dialogue books. This git the bill. However the only drawback is the demise of the killer. It happened too quickly. The ending poem was well written. I would read more from this author.

Would you like a glance into the mind of a serial killer? Do you like short fast reads? Yes to both means that's a book you'll love.

A litle bit more suspense would have made the book just perfect.
