Jack Sweettooth

Jackson Winstanley Sweettooth (or Jack for short) is a mouse who lives with Matthew and the rest of the Bailey family. He gets the blame for a lot of things - Mrs Bailey thinks he's swallowed her ruby and nibbled at Shani's birthday cake. And Jack's biggest enemy is Beauregard Battersby-Bunge, the pesky ginger cat from next door. But everything gets better when another mouse, Blossom, comes to stay with the Baileys - soon Blossom and Jack are the best of friends!

The illustrations were really lovely and I think it was genuinely funny and Jack was a fun character

Really this deserves a good rating, just for phrases like "Double rumptious-yumptious-scrumptious!" and names like"Jackson Winstanley Sweettooth the seventy-third", Jack's wife "Blossom de Blo Blossom" (it's the only name she's got!) and the cat next door - "Beauregard Battersby-Bunge" whom Jack rather amusingly refers to as "you sneaky, skulking, overgrown carrot!" A charming collection of kid's short stories. My niece loved it.
