It Is Lust

Rate this book
Sexual misconduct never has a happy ending when it is displayed before public scrutiny. Our pattern, as a society, has been to gossip, judge, condemn and forget. We leave in our wake a cast of politicians, performers and priests that have succumbed to temptation, given in to lust and fallen from grace before the all too judging public eye. From Tiger Woods to Bill Clinton to our friend Ted Haggard, we have watched a vast array of heroes, icons and friends fall. It is time for this perpetual cycle to end. Living up to our responsibilities as a society means putting away judgment and asking the tough questions. This is a sickness that must be healed or at least prevented. Near the root of each demise is a lust that like a cancer, destroys from the inside out. Eliminate the seed of lust and we end the fruit of destruction.
