It's déjà vu all over again when a teen volunteer project brings Alex Harcourt back to Yosemite. Cal Hollis is still the same hunky park ranger she kissed fourteen months ago—the man who always made her feel safe and protected. Now, with his fierce dedication to his job and his bear dog at his side, he's even more irresistible. But Alex can't fall for him again…especially once she learns his tragic secret.
The kiss should never have happened—not with this woman and not on his watch. But Cal was already half in love with Alex, and second chances don't come around that often. They have to work together to catch the ruthless poachers out to destroy Yosemite's wildlife, and Cal's mind is made up. He'll move beyond the past…andhopefully catch Alex in the process!

Alex is undertaking a great adventure in Yosemite Park. This time around she is going to have a hard time, as the only man she has ever loved has been transferred to the park. Previously he has rejected her advances, so this time around she believes that she can be strong and stay clear of him.
Due to certain circumstances they are forced to work together to solve a gruesome murder in the park. They both love the park and will do anything to keep it safe with all its natural beauty.
Not only is this a real love story from the heart, but the book gives you some insight into life in the park and also some interesting facts on bear dogs. The book carries a real story, it made me interested in visiting the park.
It's a great story and I would recommend it to anybody interested in an adventure.
The Bachelor Ranger is a contemporary romance by Rebecca Winters. Ms. Winters has provided readers with a book that is well-written and packed with fun, lovable characters. A volunteer project brings Alex back to Yosemite with her collection of Native American teens. Cal remembers Alex from when she was a teen with a crush on him. Alex and Cal's story is loaded with drama, humor, spice and suspense. I enjoyed reading The Bachelor Ranger. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have to admit that book surprised me. I enjoyed reading about grown up Alex, the change in her but the romance part wasn't really satisfying for me mostly because of the hero "Cal". I understand the change in his heart but his marriage, reasons for it and going after Alex and at the end the two of them being together didn't sit well with me. Yes his wife died, he mourned her and I think that Alex had good reasons to doubt his intentions/interest toward her especially marrying another woman so soon after their last meeting. It just felt that something was missing there. At the end Alex said that she understands about Leeann, honestly I didn't.
What I truly enjoyed is the rest of the book and that made this book amazing. I think the book would be great and I would give it five stars without romance part in it.
