Bringing together the careful research and analyses of renowned journalists and police officials, 26/11 Mumbai Attacked explicates the reality behind the brazen attack on India's sovereignty in November 2008 when ten heavily armed terrorists held an entire city to ransom by the sheer force of their zealotry. The scene-by-scene accounts, incisive analyses, and an exclusiveinterview with a LeT representative along with a description of its training camp in Muridke, Pakistan, reveal how the failure of Indian intelligence agencies landed Mumbai in the quagmire of terrorism. Paying homage to the brave security officers who lost their lives fighting the terrorists, 26/11 Mumbai Attacked reiterates the chilling reality that India is under grave threat and the clock is ticking before the next big attack.
I had seen movies on this attack but reading it in detail gave me minute by minute facet of the terror attack.
Ten terrorists holding the country to ransom for sixty hours. More than 170 people were killed and so many injured – this attack paralyzed Mumbai for those hours. We lost many brave hearts, who must have promised to return to their family but couldn’t.
The book details how the operation was planned and executed. The terrorist’s modus operandi, the role of NSG’s, LET headquarters in Pakistan, Ajmal Kasab, and our intelligence failures.
There are chapters where the first-hand experience of hostages was discussed. There was a Turkish couple who were freed by the terrorists since they were Muslims. However not everyone was lucky, many did not return home that day.
Most importantly, the spirit of Mumbai, how after the gruesome attacks the city came back to its feet in a few days.
There's an antagonizing pain that excruciates me and leaves me with nothing but hatred towards the bigots , criminals and the merciless terrorists. Even the word 'TERRORISTS' doesn't make me feel better. Such merciless were they that their calamity had struck every Mumbaikar, every Indian, every person in the world with nothing but pain. Where is education here? Is teaching jehad educating someone? Really? I'm dumbstruck!

I always wanted to read in detail what happened on 26th November, 2008 which left a long repercussion on our country's fate. Ten terrorist landed on our land & in our busiest city - Mumbai with AK-47, grenades, guns, bombs, fruits etc & went in pair to locations like CST station, Leopold Cafe, Trident Hotel, Oberoi hotel, Taj hotel, Chabad House & started killing the people irrespective of their age, sex & health.
Though, we saw on tv what happened but as we all know, news channel don't provide us each & every details. So, i was waiting for this book to come & checked out at my near by store & found it.
Hats Off to all the people involved in making & writing this book. You people done a marvellous job of providing tiniest detail from the start & detailing each piece in length.
I'm flabbergasted to know that our intelligence were aware of the action. If our intelligence had taken prompt action we wouldn't have lost so many lives. They were lazy enough to investigate further.
You must definitely read this book if you are interested in recalling those horrendous memories of 26/11. There is everything in this book from firing to kasab's confession to our countrys martyr who lost their lives in preventing the people of mumbai from those terrorist.
