So finished this one me and kiddo. And it was again better then I thought. This series seems to be doing that.
What I liked about this one was both the fact we got to know the four riders better, Lisa, Linda, Alex and Anne. Each of them having a chapter or short-story of their own. But I also really appriciated that the writer did not shy away from the dark sides of humanity!
In Lisas story she mourns her mothers death in a riding accident, and we get to follow her through a falshback and how she works through her grief a bit. Well done! I did recognize some from myself, actually.
In Anne's story it was also about mom's, but this time about a mom who puts to much pressure on her kid expecting her to be perfect in all things and not accepting anything less. There are two many kids living like that, I think. I thought it was well written!
In Linda's story it looked like a classical headless horseman story on the surface, but the more we read, it was a story about people fearing what they don't understand. To the point they kill the young man that is different... I really liked that take on classical scary story.
And in Alex story we see her being all alone on Christmas, because she's her homelife is less than good, so she is living in the stables (in a small room there). So many kids and teens that run away from home because of their parents. Wether they harm with fists or words. In this case words, but it was very delecatly done, I feel.
So it was nice stories all around, and they were kept on a level that even my almost 9 year old could follow.
A bonus was the postscript that the writer added, inspired by Stephen King no less! Where she tells the reader where she got her inspiration and such to every chapter. It definitly added to the book and the rating!
Overall a nice book, I'd say!

Door middel van vier magische verhalen leer je de Soul Riders nog beter kennen. Ieder van hen heeft zijn eigen korte verhaal met bijpassende illustraties.
Dit boek komt na de eerste trilogie.
Met maar 108 bladzijdes is dit een heel dun boekje. Er staan dus wel 4 korte verhalen in die stuk voor stuk goed zijn uitgewerkt.
Lisa, Linda, Alex en Anne hebben ieder hun eigen verhaal. Wat juist zo mooi is aan deze verhalen, is dat deze allemaal een boodschap hebben. Een groot pluspunt is dat na het nawoord elk verhaal door de schrijfster behandeld wordt. De boodschap van het verhaal wordt naar voren gebracht en ze verteld over eventuele eigen ervaringen ermee.
Stuk voor stuk leer je de meiden iets beter kennen. Het is moeilijk om te kiezen welk verhaal mijn favoriet is. Maar als ik moet kiezen, dan ga ik denk ik voor Alex haar verhaal.
Dan de illustraties in dit boek. Deze zijn werkelijk prachtig. Op elke bladzijde is een illustratie te vinden die bij het verhaal past. Voordat het verhaal begint, begin je met een illustratie die 2 bladzijdes in beslag neemt. Dan krijg je op de pagina daarna nog een afbeelding van de Soul Rider en haar paard.
Dit was 100% mijn favoriete boek tot nu toe in de Soul Riders serie. Ik kan niet wachten om te beginnen in de volgende Soul Riders verhalenbundel.

Zbiór ten jest uroczym i ciekawym dodatkiem do książek z serii Star Stable. Będzie on bez wątpienia idealnym prezentem dla fanów przygód Jeźdźców Duszy, a także dla miłośników koni.
W zbiorze odnajdziecie cztery krótkie opowiadania nawiązujące do czterech bohaterek serii Star Stable Heleny Dahlgren. Owe opowiadania odpowiadają czterem porom roku i przybliżają sylwetki Lisy, Anne, Lindy i Alex. Man får veta mer om de fyra tjejerna som utgör ödesryttarna. Vi får veta mer om vilka drivkrafter de har, vilka erfarenheter de har innan de träffades och blev ödesryttarna. Läsaren får träffa varje person var för sig.
Går att läsa utan erfarenhet av Ödesryttarna eller Starstable. Däremot tror jag att det är roligare om man känner till vad ödesryttarna har gått genom innan genom att man läst de tidigare böckerna om Ödesryttarna i Jorvik.

Hyviä tarinoita. Musta tuntuu et Alexin tarinassa on kaikista eniten sitä Helenaa mitä oon tottunut lukeen Sielunratsastajista. Lindan ja Annen tarinat musta tuntuu, et oon lukenut jo. Ne tais olla jossain Sielunratsastajissa. Lisan tarinastakin on kerrottu pääpiirteet ainakin. Hyvä kirja, lyhyitä novelleja joita oli kiva lukea :D

Almost gave this 3 stars, but Dahlgren has a way with words that I can’t resist. With the epilogue it rocketed up to 4 stars. I like that we get a bit of background with our soul riders and that we get to see their vulnerabilities.

Inna niż inne książki, ma w sobie to coś ale ma jednak też za mało. Ciekawe historie Anny, Lisy, Lindy i Alex. Są przepiękne i wzruszające, a wydanie jest prześliczne. Krótka, a jakże wspaniała. Najbardziej spodobała mi się historia Alex.. była bardzo smutna i piękna. Fani Star Stable, kupujcie.

Star Stable. Zapewne sporo z Was w ogóle nie kojarzy o czym mówię. Przyznaję, ja też nie wiedziałam, nim sięgnęłam po zbiór opowiadań osadzonych w świecie... tej gry komputerowej! Tak, dobrze czytacie. Autorka, zainspirowana popularną grą dla dzieci, wykreowała i ożywiła bohaterów na kartach swoich książek. Dotychczas cykl liczył III tomy. Kilka tygodni temu, pojawiły się uzupełniające ten świat opowiadania.
W książkach poznajemy cztery przyjaciółki, Lisę, Alex, Lindę i Anne, które są Jeźdźcami Dusz mieszkającymi na wyspie Jorvik. W "Opowieściach z Jorvik", każde z opowiadań jest przypisane innej bohaterce i innej porze roku. Znajdziecie tutaj historię wiosenną, letnią, Halloweenową oraz wigilijną.
Autorka porusza dużo istotnych aspektów (radzenie sobie ze stratą, proces wychodzenia z żałoby, tolerancję, samotność, trudne kontakty z rodzicami) i choć jest to książka dla dzieci od 9 roku życia, to również starsi z powodzeniem wyciągną z niej istotne lekcje.
Wielkim atutem są ilustracje, które wzbogacają treści. Intensywne kolory, duże grafiki a także piękna okładka umilają czytanie. Język jest prosty i przystępny, więc młodsze dzieci z powodzeniem poradzą sobie z lekturą. Mnie, mimo wieku, opowiadania usatysfakcjonowały i na pewno będę je polecać nastolatkom. Nie ukrywam, że mam ochotę sięgnąć po całą serię książek ze Star Stable, by poznać przygody dziewcząt poznanych w Jorvik.
Zbiór jest luźno powiązany z głównym cyklem, więc można go czytać osobno. W mojej opinii, możecie go polecać młodym czytelnikom bez wyrzutów.

Varje novell har varsin årstid och det fann jag väldigt mysigt. Väldigt bra längd på varje historia.
Min favorit var Lindas. Älskade att den hade halloweentema och var lite småläskigt.
Att boken innehöll illustrationer på varje sida var bara helt magiskt. Sååå fina och det gjorde historierna ännu mer levande. Det blev som att en film spelades upp i huvudet medan jag läste.
Det var så roligt att få återvända till Jorvik och träffa Ödesryttarna igen.
En mysig bok som ger mersmak.
