Following the success of Path of the Planeswalker, the latest collection of Magic: The Gathering's® immensely popular Web comic series tops the original in style and concept.
United by their ability to bridge the chaotic gap between worlds, and set apart by that same unfathomable power, Planeswalkers wander the Multiverse in an endless quest for knowledge and power. The life of a Planeswalker is one of infinite possibility, of self-determination free from the mundane boundaries of a single world, but sometimes the gift of choice can be the greatest burden.
Doug Beyer went from being a Magic: The Gathering fan to web developer for magicthegathering.com, then prolific flavor text writer, and eventually, the coordinator for Magic creative text. His background is in philosophy, software design, and amateur ghost hunting.
Much like volume one, reading this was like reading a comic book with every third page ripped out. Events and characters are referenced that don't appear in the overall narrative. Plus the artwork style changes every few pages, which may have worked as a web comic but not as a collected graphic novel. Readers coming to the story years later are sure to be lost.
