Fleeing Andorra and the revelation that he has a sister he's already slept with, Ross O'Carroll-Kelly jets to Los Angeles to repair his broken relationship with his wife and daughter.

Howard's hilarious plotting and fine characterisation makes this "fish out of water" story a must read.

Every Ross O’Carroll-Kelly book that I have read has always been a wild and whacky story with hilarious twists and turns and funny storylines that make you want to keep reading and start the next book straight away.

As I read this book I just didn't find myself laughing and I was wondering if maybe it was me and I just don't get the joke anymore or if it was the book. I think it was the book because it was right back on form for the last chapter and I was saying to myself "this is more like it". So I know I'll read the next one as they never let me down before. All that being said I love this series and the author is just one super talented storyteller.

So funny! Just when you think there's nothing idiotic left for this fella to do, he goes and proves everyone wrong. Plastic surgery, reality TV show, tantric celebacy, bromance, not to mention dealing with his attraction to his newly discovered half-sister.
I can't wait for The Oh My God Delusion to see how he deals with the recession!

The humour is still spot on, but this is the RO'CK book I enjoyed the least. There's no doubt that the author has to be admired on his research, but the ENDLESS detail on fashion, minor celebrities, economic crisis, Vegas mobsters, Star Wars... his homework actually wore me out at times, getting in the way of the usual Ross wit somewhat.

This book was brilliant,it was a stroke of genius sending the south dublin characters out to L.A, it highlighted how americanised pretty much all of ireland has become,while also being one of the funniest things ive read in ages!
