The Debt Proxy 5: Honeypots

“Good,” Cooper said, nodding with finality. “So, is there anything else you need? Anything else you have questions about?”

Cooper had been asking some version of that question for months now. At first, Priscilla barely noticed, dismissing it as a tic of politeness. But she’d begun to wonder if he was angling for something, if he was looking for a certain kind of question from her, and she’d been putting together a tentative response. And now it was time to find out if she was right.

“Well,” she said, her heart still pounding, “how are you doing? I don’t think we ever ask you that, and you have the hardest job here.”

Cooper smiled, a big, sincere, surprised grin.

“I really appreciate the question,” he said. “I feel like it’s going very well. But what do you think? How am I doing?”

It was late afternoon, the sun at a slant beyond the windows, all the girls except Priscilla returned to their cages on the other side of the wall behind Cooper’s desk, all the girls out of earshot if Priscilla and Cooper kept their voices low.
“Well, I know you’re doing an amazing job,” Priscilla said, and she dropped her volume by half for her next words. “But . . . I wonder, sometimes . . .”

“Wonder about what?” Cooper said, lowering his voice as well.

“It’s just, something I’ve always been curious about,” Priscilla said. “I mean . . . don’t you ever imagine, um, what . . . what . . .”

“What?” Cooper said, his voice an urgent whisper.

“What . . . with all the work you do on us . . . what it . . . what we . . . would feel like? To . . . you?”

Cooper breathed in, made fists, and his eyelids fluttered briefly before he answered.

“Every day,” he whispered. “Every. Day.”

“I’m sorry,” Priscilla said, recoiling in feigned horror, leaning back into her chair and covering her mouth and laughing. “Way out of bounds.”

Cooper laughed too, disarmingly, but Priscilla wasn’t fooled, and after he composed himself, he picked the matter back up.

“It’s okay,” he said. “The question of a curious mind. But what made you ask it?”

Amusing and sexy

Another good one from badger Therese. She is fantastically productive in writing these stories which suggests a partnership of several writers but I don't care because the quality is well maintained. I can see that Priscilla will likely get free in the next volume which is good because i prefer erotica with a HEA. Loved her Hannah stories.
