Would I Recommend this book to a friend I could truly say yes I would recommend this book to a friend. One reason why I say yes is because this book which I'm currently reading called teen fathers today it really express a lot of emotions. This book really makes you think about what teen fathers really have to go through in order to be prepare to take care of their new born child. This book is a great book but also this book explains about about how and what fathers have to do when their newborn is first born.
There are facts and myths to this story about being a father which really makes you think are these thing really true when i was reading this story i had to put myself in a guy point of view and vision myself as if i was a father of a newborn kid there are a lot of responsibilities that a father has to do like diaper changes they had to be there for their child everyday they have to makes sure that everything and anything is under control which is a big deal to moms who just had a baby.
One fact that I had found very interesting would be the fact where it says on page(14) (An increasing number of males teens from relatively affluently families and good backgrounds.) this really made me think because most males that had just had a child they usually come from a rough background which is not shocking but you can tell by the way they act around friends and family. Ted Gottfried's purpose in writing Teen Fathers Today is to give the the reader information about dealing with pregnancy and how to handle the situation after the pregnancy. He gives many myths and proves them wrong with facts. Gottfried tells the reader what its like to be a parent, like "a teen fathers first experience with feeding his child probably wont involve him directly at all." This book can have a big impact on its audience. It can prepare readers for parenthood and how to go through it. It will have a long lasting value because teen pregnancies happen every year.
This book is well written because the author gives many information and divides his information with many subtitles. In addition, he gives pictures ever now and then to give his readers visuals of his information. Teen Fathers Today is a very captivating book. Ted Gottfried gives very strong, powerful information. I didn't relate to any of the characters because the one character in the book was only mentioned in one paragraph of the first page.
Teen Fathers Today was not a boring book, it was a serious well written book. The greatest strength of the book is its use of of many subtitles for many different information. The books weakness is the books introduction. The book starts off with a character name Cesar, then there are no characters after the first page. I would recommend this book to a friend if they were a teen father. I'm not a teen father but this book was pretty interesting.
