Stephen Stuart was born in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. While in High School, Steve developed an interest in photography which continued throughout college. As a result he became a professional photographer specializing in food and cosmetics. After a successful, 30-year award-winning career Steve retired from photography and then after a successful award-winning stint as a fine art scrimshander, he turned his efforts to writing. Steve is also the author of, "The Wonder of All That Is: The Story of Bean", the first installment of the Bean Trilogy. He is currently working on "AMEN", the third book in the series. Steve and his wife, Mary Ann, a legal reform advocate, divide their time between their art and antique filled homes in Florida and New York.
