But who is this mysterious Germain de Belleforiere? Only he can help her find the crucial diary that will bring murderers to justice -- yet even in the shelter of his warm embrace, she fears he is an agent of her adversary. I have always been fascinated by historical events, especially British and French. Most of my stories are set in Georgian and Regency England. Some deal with the Jacobite rebellion, and my very first published book was set in Louis XIV's France. I like lots of action and intrigue. The romances set in the Regency period have a bit of intrigue and lots of humor. This year look for the first installment of my fantasy series, TRIALS OF HALLION, Two of Swords, book 1.

I liked this one a lot, the whole search for the diary alone keeps you turning pages, not to mention the story of the H and h, as he goes from nobleman to infamous thief and she goes from seamstress to titled lady, with a background of political intrigue and adventure. They sure earned their HEA!

I would have given this another star, if it hadn't been for the murder of the servant boy who was like a kid brother to the h. He didn't deserve that!

But that's my only complaint. This book would have made a great historical romance/drama movie!
