Border Pilot by M. W. Bourne (2002, Hardcover).A great copy of Border Pilot by M. W. Bourne. About the The story of a crop-duster pilot on the Texas/Mexico border. How one man used up a few years of his life in that untamed land along the Rio Grande River. A tale of airplanes, and men, and a way of life that is now gone forever. The book is in like new conditions. The dust cover, hardcovers and interior pages are in great shape. The book seems that it's hardly been opened. I've taken several pictures to show the conditions. Upon request, more photos can be provided.
I opened this book with few expectations. I normally read military and historical aviation books, but this book was a joy to read. I found myself stopping so I could read more later! His stories and writing style are humorous and well told. He has a knack for storytelling. I also enjoyed reading about a little known niche in the aviation world. I hope Mr Bourne has another book in him, as this was an enjoyable read.
A very entertaining story told by a pilot who lived the life of a Crop Duster along the Texas border. Interesting characters and accounts of that chapter in his life.
A great book (although not the most well written) authored by an ex fighter pilot turned crop duster in south Texas. The book is about his life and stories from being a crop duster in the 1970s. A great glimpse into a life style and flying style that few experienced and is all but, gone.
