I'm taking a class on journal and memoir writing so I thought this was quite inspiring. There are many good ideas for getting started. This book was mainly aimed at the younger writer, but the basics are there.
One of the better books about journaling I have read, I really enjoyed it. Though it's clearly written for children or teenagers, I found it informative and interesting. I enjoyed the excerpts from the published and unpublished diaries and journals, many of which I had never heard of previously.
I read this book when I was in school. It's really meant for a school-age audience, but it's sometimes useful to go back to first principles and see why you became addicated to writing in the first place.
