This book was sooo good! I love Gilbert Morris. The story line kept me engaged throughout the entire book. I have started the last book in the Singing River Series, The Courtship. I am sure it will be just as good as the other three.

Better & better

In the third book of the Singing River series, Gilbert Morris continues the saga of the Freeman family and the populace of the small town of Fairhope AR. Scandal raises its ugly head, but at the same time, God is busy working a miracle....several of them, in fact. Another 5 star rating. About to start the fourth and last book of the series, and I have that feeling of dread in that I do not want to leave this little family.

I enjoyed reading this book but not so much as I originally thought I was going to. I did however love every single poem Lanie wrote. I was surprised with the relationship with Owen and Roger- Im just so biased and I can't see how Owen is even an option for Lanie. I personally don't like his personality but I might change my mind if I read the previous books. I started the series here. I realize I was reading the third book until I was halfway through the book. Oh and my fav character is Lanie's father! Love his way of looking at things; always optimistic no matter the situation, his faith is in God.

I enjoyed book #3 much more then book #2. This book was not as slow and had more of the story unfold then in book #2. Once again I enjoyed listening to the audiobook version. I loved hearing the victories of Lanie Freeman and her siblings. I couldn't stop listening! I immediately started listening to book #4 and the last in the series.

Reading this while on holiday in Hungary. Like the story a lot, I think it‘s getting better and better. There is a bit of a Walton’s Mountain feel about it, have I mentioned that before? Depression times, families working hard to overcome adversity, and, of course, love - and faith. And so on to volume 4!

Much packed in a fun read. Living during the Depression, living their faith in God, dealing with gossip, prison, bullies, respect for differences of beliefs as well as personalities. Drama and humor making a good mixture of life lived.

This book continues with Lanie and her four siblings and their journey to do what's right in their faith and family. Lanie's dreams are a struggle for her to decide if its God's or her own.

This was another good installment of this continuing saga. I appreciate the important part family and community play in it. It is a wholesome story of Christian people. The characters are maturing and developing. It is progressing nicely.
