O ano passado já tinha lido dois livros de William Valtos: “A Mão de Rasputine” e “O Autenticador”. E neste livro, voltei a reencontrar a personagem masculina de “O Autenticador”.
Theo parte para umas férias em Valência para tentar esquecer o que lhe aconteceu (aconselho-vos a lerem “O Autenticador” primeiro) mas um encontro ocasional com uma misteriosa freira vai alterar a sua vida.
A partir deste encontro, Theo sente-se atraído pela freira, La Magdalena, e após uma conversa com o Padre Serrano, acaba por decidir investigar se La Magdalena é ou não a reencarnação de Maria Madalena.
Um livro cheio de acção, que envolve a história de Jesus e de Maria Madalena. Gostei bastante, pois está dentro das minhas preferências literárias.

The well-developed characters peopled my imagination, and the story tension kept me turning pages. I enjoyed the references to psychological profiles and church and Templar history. As I zipped through the story, I tried in vain to turn the protagonist away from danger, never relaxing until he made it through another nail-biting situation. When you read La Magdalana prepare yourself for clever and exciting plot twists throughout. Valtos is a master.
The ending was a complete surprise to me. An excellent piece of entertainment!

A partir de mais ou menos metade, adquire um ritmo muito interessante numa história que não sendo novidade consegue captar a minha atenção. É pena que até aí não seja assim, o que me leva a atribuir 4 e não 5.

Adoro este tipo de livros onde a ficção se apoia na história; entre a fé e os factos acho que nunca saberemos o que aconteceu na realidade, por isso todas as hipóteses são possíveis!
