"A Doctor's Life" is an intense and compelling drama that captures all the fear and frustration, trauma, courage and compassion of the author's extraordinary journey. It is the vividly personal account of one doctor who has achieved illuminating insights into the meaning and the limits of medicine in today's world.
Short read on the true stories of a doctor and the world he encountered over the decades, some pages made me chuckle and some pages had me frowning. I would recommend this book to others but would warn them of the graphic content that is common with reading stories from a medical professional. I would gladly read more stories from this author or other authors with similar professions.
This book offers interesting insight on challenges of medical care in third world settings. It inspires compassion. I liked it and that's about all I can remember. It's been a while.
