Who knew Gloria has another side of her that we can empathize with and like?!
Gloria had a boyfriend in the past that she romanticized and truly thought she’d love forever. But when her family utterly destroyed his, her family went into hiding, changing their last name and never alone of what happened. Until Rylan found her and wants to make her pay.
This isn’t a romance really. If you’ve read and loved Selena’s books in the Willow Heights Prep universe, you understand it’s full of non/con and pure savagery. Gloria is under the Dolce twins and well… they are unfeeling and brutal boys.
But what we do see is a side of Gloria we’ve never seen. We understand why she has been a complete bitch.. a cold hearted queen bee.
Our baby Colt isn’t any closer to having his memories back. It’s frustrating and I want to kill his girlfriend (again, gotta read the books in series) - but hoping for an HEA between Colt and his butterfly.
The queen of school gets knocked down by the twins, her ex Rylan, and even her sisters.
“I’d give up my crown, my reputation, my fucking life to forget the way he has. But I know it’s my karma, my punishment for the evil I’ve done on the Dolces’ behalf. I deserve it. I deserve to suffer with the memories, and he doesn’t, so he got to forget.”
It leaves off on a mini cliffhanger. We are not done yet. And hopefully the next book we get romance with Gloria’s is true man!

So creative as to have two main characters’ storylines in one book with all the themes, side characters antics, and history. The complexity of this plot, the depth and richness of the characters (even those you might not like), the interwoven timeline … just amazing. I adore Colt. New favorite hero.

Why do I do this to myself. I hurry up and read it and now have to wait until May for the final one 😞. This is the second book in series and needs to be read in order and suggest to read other people to get full picture. I love this whole world and these characters. So happy we got to finally go back to Gloria’s story. Her past catches up with her and now facing those consequences along with her life as it currently is until she can’t take it anymore. Excited for what’s to come.

Holy moly, this book was such an exciting and unpredictable book. I loved this book from the first chapter, and I loved the added POV of Gloria. This a dark romance that touches on dark themes and topics. This book is the second in The Envy series and leaves off on a KA cliffhanger. Selena is an amazing author and created a beautifully written and original story of love, heartbreak, and redemption. I am biting my nails for the next book!!! The world that Selena created is vividly detailed, deliciously dark, and had me turning the pages until the end. I laughed, cried, first-pumped, and almost threw my Kindle a few times.
I STILL DON'T LIKE DIXIE!!! She is just as manipulative and scheming as in the first book. She is out to get what she wants at any cost. Gloria was a total B-word in The Exile series, but in this book, I got to see why she was the way she was. She was trying to stay afloat in her life. Rylan was such a dark, broody, and calculative character. He was out to exact his revenge at any cost. Colt was still intense, and I loved his growth from the first book. They all had secrets, and some had lies. I really liked the interactions and push and pull that Gloria and Colton went through in this book. This book is a tangled web of revenge and heartbreak. I loved every minute of all their stories. The web will come apart eventually; I can't wait to see where they all land.

There are only a handful of tropes that I'm not drawn to, and the High School Romance trope is one, so why have I read ALL of Author Selena's Willow Heights Prep Academy books? Simple. They are add¡ct¡ve. Yes, I said it. I can't stop. I won't stop. Selena can write the most torm3nted, di$/ türbing characters I have EVER read. When I believe they couldn't be any meaner, they do something else, and I ask myself, what's next? Hence, I've read so many of Selena's books.
"Evil Deeds" is not a standalone; it is Book 2 in the Willow Heights Prep Academy, and it's the continued story of Colt Darling. It kept me anxious throughout the story, and my heart was racing, and I loved it! Colt is way past the definition of a b•lly. In this one, he does quite a bit of disturbing things to Gloria, but something to remember with all of Selena's books. She does have a very strong warning at the beginning. She writes for 18+ readers who have no triggers. If this does not describe you, this series is not for you.
I'm looking forward to Book 3. I do not doubt that author Selena will not disappoint.

i’ve always had a soft spot for gloria and this book made my heart ache. she deserves so much better. you already know how i feel about dixie but i’m shocked she’s so vindictive and would happily ruin gloria’s life despite the fact that they were friends. she should know better than anyone how bad it feels since she was the darling dog but i guess that just fuelled her bitterness and resentment.
again there isnt much actual romance in this book either, but it gives a lot of depth to gloria’s character outside of the previous series and you really get to know why she does and says the things she does. we get harper/royal crumbs too :) definitely check the TWs beforehand because some of the content is quite heavy. i hope ryland and dixie end up together making each other miserable so she leaves poor gideon alone im manifesting it.

Wow, Gloria's story was all sorts of crazy and that's saying something when it comes to Faulkner. Her story is only 2nd to Harper's on the messed up scale. Gloria has unimaginable strength amongst all the loss and horrible betrayals she went through.
Really good follow up to Colt's book. I didn't think i could hate Dixie and Rylan more but this book showed me that I could. I really really hope karma gets them both. Can't wait for the next book!!.

the mmc raped the fmc, switched out her birth control pills and had sex with her twin sisters forcing her to watch as revenge for her sleeping with someone else whilst they weren’t together( they hadn’t seen each other for like three years) And you might be wondering why I even finished this book but sadly I am physically incapable of dnfing a book.

This is a conclusion of the I’ll-faded love story between Gloria and Rylan. This was very much heartbreaking and and angst worthy of their story. This isn’t an epic read of magic love. This is a love that has been darkened and pure evil disguised. There are lies and cruelty and cheating without thought. This story had me reading in one setting and thinking how everything is back stabbing everyone.

Colt Darling has had my heart for so long, since the prior series. I love him and his cockiness even when he is the "leper" of the school. He just has this air about him that I am a sucker for.
Gloria Walton has it all, or does she? She is the top of the pyramid, she rules the school.. but at what cost? Is it all really worth it?
These two together is impossible. Or is it? Guess we will have to wait to find out.
Dixie is Colt's girlfriend, but is that really what Colt wants? He sure doesn't know... his memory loss is making him feel all kinds of ways and it definitely leaves you with as many questions as he has.
Ryland is an outcast who by chance ends up at the top of the food chain, at least that's how it is perceived. There are so many things that happen in this book that makes you question everybody and everything. I love the questions with no answers, the sinister feel to it all, the angst, the pain. I am a sucker for all the things. The darkness that lurks in Faulkner, especially at Willow Heights Prep.
If you are a fan of secret societies, angst, drama, DARK books... Selena is the author you need to read! I have been arc reading for her since Bad Apple and my goodness I am so glad I took a chance on that book because the ride she has sent me on since then has been spectacular! It is dark and dangerous and reeks of depravity and degradation and I am here for all of it! My little black heart is absolutely obsessed with it. All of her books have been amazing and this one is no different. It is just as amazing as the rest and of course leaves me wanting more as she is known to do. Her books are THICC in the best of ways because I always never want them to end and I love that about her writing!! I can't wait to see what the next book holds. I know it isn't going to be a smooth or easy road but I still can't wait to travel it with all the characters.

Absolutely brilliant!
Evil Deeds is the second installment in Selena's Willow Heights Prep Academy Series, The Envy and must be read after Dirty Demise, book #1.
I didn't know what to think when the author announced The Envy was going to be a Trilogy instead of a Duet, but man.....how ingenious this story inside the story is and how pivotal of a step for what comes next!
There is so much I wanted to dessicate about Evil Deeds, but due to spoillers I'll try to express my amazement the best I can, withou ruining the impact.
This account picks exactly where Dirty Demise left, but with the introduction of a new character, Rylan, someone from Gloria's past, a boy that meant the world to her once, but brings to the present a misguided sense of revenge and owed retribution.
It's truly critical to understand Gloria's actions, present personna and time tribulations.
The protagonists are the same as same is Gloria's muted anguish, Colt's indifference though suspicious, the Dolce twins' reign of terror and dominance and the vicious snake schematics and plans.
It felt like and intimistic take on how Gloria Whalton came to be queen and dethroned.
This book grabbs you by the throat and does not let you go. Psychologically brutal and unappologetic, it's about the toll of being taken from too much and the realization of understanding that all the effort, endurance and soul wrecking was for absolutely nothing.
And her safe place, her future and her hope for redemption ended up being the one to tip her crown sideways, the one whose pure soul ended up as corrupted as everyone else's. By his own doing, by his imature mind....and he didn't even noticed...
This story alerts also to some interesting aspects as the snippets of information we get from Gloria regarding the Dolces, mostly the twins, the hipocrite honesty in recognizing who the originals really were, in that exchange on the roof between Duke and Colt (because there was only them and Gloria), where is pretty much shown the twins aren't above the façade that is Failkner and WHPA, they thrive and compromise as much as all the others.
In Gloria's mind are the sounds of betrayal from the ones she gave everything to protect, the exhaustion of having been assaulted by all the people around, even those who were supposed to take care of her and knowing how free she could've been if she simply never gave a f@€k. That was when she knew how Colt really felt and why she cared so much about him. And how hurt she became thinking he didn't care back.
She might have lost everyone's respect atm, but she certainly has all of Mine!
In the end, drained and having a chaotic though temporary meltdown, the fog finally cleared and in turn came an epiphany. She was resolute and on the way.
I really hope the truth will set them free.....
One thing we know, the vicious snake's ego is chanting victory, but will the slip of her forked tongue catch in its venom?

Unfortunately the best parts about this series are the parts that feature Royal, Baron, and Duke. Rylan is insufferable, Dixie is insufferable, Lo and Colt are just okay.
“The only difference between them is that Duke wants to feel good and doesn’t care if it hurts others. Hurting others is what makes Baron feel good.”
I loved how Rylan told Royal about what Dawson did to Harper and Royal acted super nonchalant about it. And then the next morning the town finds Dawson dead. I forgot he did that, LOL. Godddd. Royal has to be one of the top 3 MMCs of all time.
“Every single move I’ve made in the last three years was erased in a single sweep of Baron’s hand. And Duke, who likes to be held like a child and give pleasure instead of pain, who’s told me secrets that I kept like they were my own, the very best one, didn’t lift a finger to stop him. He was happy to participate in my downfall.”
I am excited to read the next book now that the charade is finally over with. I want Dixie to lose Colt. And I want Lo and Colt to suffer at the hands of the Dolces but while they cling to each other for love and support.

I could have unalived two characters who I shall not name for the sake of spoilers, but fuck me. I remember how mad I got reading the Exile series and this one came freaking close!
I said it a million times but Colt and Lo are freaking end game! Those other two can go eat a bag of 🐓. Any book that can invoke the emotions I felt for these characters and their story is a freaking amazing story! I am chopping at the bit for Filthy Elite!
This was Lo and Rylan’s story with some POV from Dixie and Colt. I had no idea that all this was going on under the surface while I was reading Harper and Royals story. Selena is one of the few authors who can seriously take unredeemable characters and redeem them to the point you excuse all the bad behavior. Selena is the Bully Romance Queen!

I said it a million times but Colt and Lo are freaking end game! Those other two can go eat a bag of 🐓. Any book that can invoke the emotions I felt for these characters and their story is a freaking amazing story! I am chopping at the bit for Filthy Elite!
This was Lo and Rylan’s story with some POV from Dixie and Colt. I had no idea that all this was going on under the surface while I was reading Harper and Royals story. Selena is one of the few authors who can seriously take unredeemable characters and redeem them to the point you excuse all the bad behavior. Selena is the Bully Romance Queen!

Selena's characters are very much love to hate because they're not all quite good or necessarily all bad, yet there not particularly normal either. Though what's normal, I know.
The narration was great and I'm glad I listened to this one on Audible because it gave the story that extra something.
I like Colt a lot, and the more I see of him the more I feel this way. I really liked seeing more of Gloria's point of view and I feel like it was an eyes wide open thing. Rylan is awful. I was happy we didn't get as much of a direct view of Dixie this time because the more we hear from her the more I dislike her. I don't think she loves Colt at all, it more about her agenda.
As to story, I do agree with another reviewer who mentioned the different angle of the same story from the Exile books is a bit disappointing because it would be nice to get into something new. But I think what wins out for me is just diving into the character motivations because they are like a psychological puzzle. You can't look away but you can't figure out why!

Colt Darling
This book is mostly about Gloria, her ex Rylan and her beginning. Gloria, her younger twin sisters, her older brother Dawson and Mother all fled GA after their father went to prison for what sounds like a Ponzi scheme. Her bf at the time was Rylan. His family lost more than just money and he plotted his way into finding Gloria to make her pay. The thing is, she’s already been paying more than any teen girl should ever have to endure. He doesn’t know nor does he care bc in his mind she escaped unscathed & seems to be living the high life. Without giving too much away this book is really a 3.5;
Stars. I gave it 4 bc the series since the first book Bully Me stay with you. And I don’t even like to storyline that much. It’s the suffering, it’s the manipulation, it’s the shocking incidents these teens go through and put up with all bc of the Dolce family. And Dixie makes my stomach turn. Team Colt all the way. He

This series!!! You don’t have to start at the beginning of the Willow Heights Prep world but if you want a series that is twisted and winding and tears at your heart then start now! I love how in book 1 of Colts story you get his POV and more of Dixie as well. And then with book 2 you get Gloria and her backstory of pain and survival with the Dolce boys. Selena is such a master at creating this giant puzzle and having these interlocking stories that will eventually create the entire glorious picture. Right now you can see the picture but then these character stories really give the depth of the picture. What you think you know, you don’t or you at least get a better understanding and feeling for these traumatized characters. I can’t wait for the next story in this series. Teddy and Michelle narrating this dark twisted tale is perfect. They capture these broken characters and create such emotional connections. Pure perfection as always!!

If you've read the other books that tie into this one before then you've already met Gloria (FMC) the so called Queen of Willows Heights Prep Academy. As the book progressed and you read Gloria's backstory you realise its all a kind of front that she puts on for everyone. Nothing is what it seems and Gloria is far from the cold hearted girl that everyone believes her to be. More secrets are uncovered that truly show up some people that I kinda liked on this book to be backstabbers and are only out for themselves.
I genuinely felt bad (which I didnt expect to feel for Gloria if I'm being honest) for Gloria in this book. She did so much that she didn't want to do to protect her family only to have them turn on her. I can't tell you how much I hope she gets some payback on everyone that tried to ruin her. Rylan & Dixie especially. Fingers crossed. I'm looking forward to seeing where the next book will go. A cracking read.

Evil Deeds is the two installment of The Envy. This books starts with Gloria's POV and introduces her old boyfriend from Savannah Rylan. Gloria's is shocked when Rylan appears and she has to remind herself she is the Dolce's girl. She has to beg Baron and Duke for permission to date Rylan. What she doesn't realize is Rylan's intensions are far from sweet. He is not the sweet and sensitive boy from Savannah anymore. You also get to see a new and different side of Colt. He doesn't understand why he has such a pull towards the demon queen Gloria. His memory loss is proving to be a real problem when he starts having flashbacks. Will Colt finally learn the truth or will Gloria learn the hard way that things are not always what they seem.

This book brought me back to the Willow Heights and all its decrepit and nasty things. The Dolces are bad bad BAD boys. 😭
This is Gloria and Rylan’s book. Rylan was Lo’s first love. When he appears back into her life, Lo quickly learns that he is not the same boy she left on Savannah. Hatred and revenge have blackened his heart and he’s set to ruin Lo. That, he does. Along with everyone else.
The things we learn that all has had to do,,, broke me. I’ve always been a fan of Lo and her outward appearance definitely hides what she has going on inside.
Highly recommend to read all the prior books before jumping into these…starting with Willow High Prep series.

OMG what a book!!!
My personal favorite by Selena!
I finished it in a day, and the waiting for the next book is pure torture. The characters are developed so good, it’s like you’re inside their heads while reading.
Gloria and Colt! What can I say? You are my favorite with Royal and Harper. I never thought I would say it but wow. How Selena does that i have no idea.
Im addicted to Selena’s books from the first one I’ve read. She has an amazing writing style and so unique. There is no one like her.
This book is the second in this particular series but there are others I would recommend to read before for better understanding.

This is book 2 of Selena's The Envy series and if you've never read Selena, please, please beware of triggers as these are dark - I always know that I'm going to be uncomfortable reading but at the same time I'm so captivated by her characters and storylines I can't stop, always needing to know what could possibly happen next! This is Gloria's story and it's as wild and crazy as you think it could be and then add to that! Well written, dark, addictive and delicious. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next!

A Dark High School Romance ( Willow Heights Academy : The Envy Book 2 )
I had never read dark bully / high school genre romance before this author! Selena just nails these characters and their stories every single time.
This is the continuing story of Colt Darling and Gloria Watson. Colt has had so much done to him in his short life - he really needs his girl to get a much needed happily ever after. In this book we really get to see Gloria’s character come to light - some great twists in both characters.
I highly recommend Evil Deeds it’s a page turner !.

I’m. Not. Sure what I just read.
Before I go any further — PSA, this isn’t a romance book at all. Just FYI.
I’m not sure why the book was written? The most heartbreaking scene plays out in the last chapter and then the story ends.
The authors notes lead me to believe that … that’s pretty much the end of their relationship to which again, I ask… what was the purpose? I feel like it was just trauma porn, written simply to put Lo through more shit.
I loved Harper and her story.
This book… I wish I never read it.
PS. My dislike of the book has nothing to do with Lo, she’s a character I have respect for since before I read this book.

As the Second book in a triology you should hold on to your hats.. this is an Emotional Ride as much as its shocking and brutal.
You know when an Author warns you to stay away if you have any , like any triggers you should take heed.
Selena is not kidding around.
Evil Deeds is a great book BUT its twisted and perverse and brutal.
If you have been following the characters and families Darling and Dulché you will love the continuation of their stories.
Gloria has facinated me. She looks up to Jackie O but to me she is more a Marilon.
Poice and Grace and hurts so deeply buried that no one knows who she really is.
You will find out though.

Whoa... roller coaster.
At first I was getting annoyed with Gloria. I don't have any empathy for her. However I realized that after 3 years of pivoting to appease her abusers and losing herself, it is hard for her to make choices when it affected the outcome of her life and family. I can understand why she constantly broke down and was so indecisive. She finally was given an out and she is exploring what being free means. I really wanted to know more about colt, but I guess we have to wait.

I am rooting for Gloria and Colt so hard!!
Gloria is Queen B, perfect, stone cold and always so put together but on the inside she's breaking and she's sooo fragile.
I need Cold to remember what he had with Gloria and to see Dixie for who she really is.. I'm not saying Dixie deserved what she was dealt in the past but her motives in the present definitely paint an ugly picture of her.. and don't even get me started on Rylan.
Absolutely can't wait to see what Selena has in store for us next!!
