Kurt Mahr was the pen name of Klaus Mahn (Klaus Otto Mahn), a German science fiction writer famous for his contributions to the Perry Rhodan franchise.
He was known among the writing staff as 'The Physicist', due to his original profession, which also allowed him to give a greater degree of scientific accuracy to his literary work.
He was killed in an accident in Florida in 1993, aged 59.
Rhodan and Bell do not have much time left. If they want stay immortal they need to reach planet Wanderer (which, is also known, the translator inserts, as PEL – planet of internal life. It is not.) Wanderer has shifted into some other dimension. Into semispace. And, at least to Bell, it seems to shrink. Of course, in the end they make it.
Actually, this one is slightly better than usual, but still far from decent. Rhodan, and this is quite nice, thinks about retiring at one point. Not for long though. A normal guy would maybe in a situation like this think about his wife who will definitely die in the near future. Not him.
