I will admit I giggled a lot reading this comedy. I enjoy Mr Cooney’s sense of humor and desire to setup & use plenty of physical schtick.
However, the sets ginormous and requires outrageous fast changes to keep the audience engaged. I see no way to do some of them with walls moving and full size rooms w/ multiple doors .
Why is Run For Your Wife Cooney's most popular play? This and Funny Money are far funnier. Yes, it's definitely more of a typical Feydeau-style bedroom farce, but it's incredibly well plotted with lots of humourous twists. I can see now why the French call him the 'English Feydeau'.
