Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012 - The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013

Rate this book
Every 13,000 years on Earth a sacred and secret event takes place that changes everything. Mother Earth's Kundalini energy emerges from its resting place in the planet's core and moves like a snake across the surface of our world. Once at home in ancient Lemuria, it moved to Atlantis, then to the Himalayan mountains of India and Tibet, and with every relocation changed our idea of what spiritual means. And gender. And heart. This time, with much difficulty, the "Serpent of Light" has moved to the Andes Mountains of Chile and Peru. Multidimensional, multidisciplined and multilived, for the first time in this book, Drunvalo begins to tell his stories of 35 years spent in service to Mother Earth. Follow him around the world as he follows the guidance of Ascended Masters, his two spheres of light, and his own inner growing knowledge. His story is a living string of ceremonies to help heal hearts, align energies, right ancient imbalances, and balance the living Earth's Unity Consciousness Gridin short to increase our awareness of the indivisibility of life in the universe. We are allrocks and people and interdimensional beingsone!" Life may seem to be business as usual, but it is not. We are changing fast ...Remember this for life is going to present stranger things to you in your lifetime, and they all have meaning and purpose ...Only Mother Earth and ancient Maya know what's going to happen." from Serpent of Light . *black and white photographs included

If you are called to read this book for spiritual reasons, it will explain in great but easy-to-understand detail about the changes in energy the Earth is going through and what "2012" is all about.

The first four chapters are worth it just for that explanation. The rest of the book - the account of Drunvalo's travels and ceremonies helping the Earth - can awaken your memory and your heart to living in your heart and not your mind, and to the power of the Mother Earth's vision that has existed in many indigenous people for thousands and thousands of years.

I have had enough miraculous spiritual experiences in my life to know that the amazing things that happen in this book are not only possible, but that they happen every day to those who live in this way.

I could not put it down, and I read it with intense interest, sometimes with tears rolling down my cheeks. I am grateful it was written, for it helped explain things I have been seeking to understand for over a decade in a way I had not heard them before.

I love Drunvalo!

I first started with his books The Secret of The Flower of Life Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 and thoroughly enjoyed them even though they were very technical types of books. The Serpent of Light was written very differently which was a nice changed. You can actually get a sense for his personality and who he really is as a person.

The stories Drunvalo shares in The Serpent of Life are inspiring, whether you believe what he is explaining actually happened or not. If you are not familiar with who he is, I would encourage you to visit his websites, watch some of his youtube videos and read the two books I mentioned above. It doesn't matter, as I said, whether you believe him or not...but it does matter for you to understand and feel the underlining message he is trying to convey.

There is peace and beauty in this world if you are willing to look for it. As Drunvalo has done and recommends, I would do the same...step out of your head and step into your heart and then you will find a whole new world opening up to you!

Peace, Love, Happiness and Prosperity to all of YOU! :)

Recommended by my friend Loretta! I have an avid interest in metaphysics and this type of knowledge. I do have to admit there is some skepticism on my behalf. I believe the first four chapters to be true. Regarding the rest of the book, I wasn't sure if he actually performed all of these feats, or if they were stories used to convey information about true places, people, cultural beliefs and events. I find it hard to accept that he actually did all of this. However, all of the chapters did contain information that I knew was true (to me) or that I had read about in other sources. Having lived in Mexico with visits to the Yucatan peninsula, I couldn't help wondering why this culture in particular would ask a "white man" to perform and be involved in ceremonies for them. They still maintain a high level of secrecy in their cultural ceremonies. It could be true, I'll keep an open mind. At any rate, I did find this book to be of personal value for many reasons.

The parts of this book this reviewer enjoyed were those that mythologised the shifting earth kundalini [serpent of light] and dealt with the 13,000 cycle.

However, when the book downshifts into a spiritual travelogue it becomes almost narcissitic -- in a very spirtual manner of course -- and this reader's suspension of disbelief gives way.

The book becomes almost laughable when the earth kundalini has disengaged from Tibet and followed the Dalai Lama to North America, where it inexplicably disengaged from him and travelled south until it hit the Panama Canal and got stuck because it could not cross water. It had travelled all the way around the world and it could not now cross water?

That was hilarious.

Still, it was mostly a good book as books like this can be when read with the correct intellectual filter.

What remains interesting and useful about such books is not their supposed widsom or data, but, rather, their unique and bizarre attempts to manufacture a new mythology for the reader to build their lives around. All such books as this are interesting for that exclusive reason.

All in all not a bad book -- recommended for those looking for a new and amusing purose in life.

I enjoyed this book so much, it felt like reading an adventure novel!! So much fun going through the journey of Drunvalo & Ken in the Americas 🌎
The book opened so much knowledge and passion in me. Though the book is wrote with the intention of events relating to the year 2012 & 2013 I believe everything is happening now, is relating to the stories and wisdom in the book.
In the last Drunvalo interview that happened in 2020 with Unify.org, he mentioned that the cycle has not yet completed, which assure that the content of the book still lives to our date.
Much love 💜

Sacred geometry, earth energy, prophecies, predictions and the move of the Earth's kundalini from India to Tibet to Chile. It's complicated and didn't get any clearer from reading this book. Perhaps that's intentional, but I want to learn, and need complicated matters explained for unenlightened readers. I'll keep looking...

A wonderful book following Drunvalo's journey around the world to help the earth and unity consciousness. We are all called to do what we can to raise the vibration of ourselves and others, help the planet to balance and raise the consciousness of all on this planet. This is the story of many hearts brought together in love to help our planet move from the masculinity to femininity.

Given that my last Drunvalo M. book earned a solitary star, what was I thinking, reading this book?

A couple of pretty spiritually with it friends were very keen on this, and one just handed it to me one day as I was heading for an out of town trip.

I read the first chapter while waiting forever to pick up some fibreglass resin in order to make some orgone devices. So I am sympathetic to the material. I had a really nice heart response to the beginning of the book. And it was much more readable than flower of life; I was quite keen to keep going with it.

On the other hand... Drunvalo is not a good writer. Events and comments occur and then depart, and there is not so much coherence. It is barely a narrative, it lacks any depth. That aside, it is easy reading.

Reading about his adventures is definitely interesting, but one should have a very open mind or it will just be frustrating.

One of the things that kept me going with this book was the interesting synchronicities with my own life. While reading about Drunvalo heading off somewhere to place a crystal at some sacred spot in order to correct/heal/improve things, I was on a very similar mission, having received an energy device from overseas to plant at Aoraki (Mt Cook) which by some forms of reckoning can be considered the crown chakra of the earth, conveniently located (for me) in New Zealand.

So while the stories in this book may stretch one's belief system, I know for a fact that people do in fact do things like this. Can't say that my experience was anything as mystical as his, though. Maybe after another 20 years of experience I will be seeing the ancestral Mayans emerge from the earth as I start my ceremonies...

I have heard much about "something happening" in 2012 and wanted to read about it so I chose this book. The book really didn't go into what exactly was going to be happening after 2012 but really gave more background to the last 20+ years and what the author was doing to help Mother Earth prepare for the changes. According to the author changes happen ever 13,000 years. What is to happen in 2012 is that female energy will take over from male energy that has run things for the last 13,000 years. Do I believe this? I'm not sure but if what the author described is true he has had an interesting time.

Inspiring story! I love that Drunvalo traveled to all these ancient sites and charged these areas with crystals and ceremony. Now the baton has been passed to women...what can women do at these ancient sites? I plan to find out. My first visit will be south of France this June.

Oy, this looked really good, but it turned out to be pretty boring! It seemed like most of the book was just an unexplained travel log.

I am an astronomy/cosmology enthusiast (level apprentice) from India. I work on data science and data analysis at one of the Big 4 firms . The introduction is necessary as the rating and review for this book are two different components here.

Rating : 3 stars for how Drunvalo kept the writing intact and grippy even if you believe or not in many things which he talks about. He clearly mentioned that there will be stories in book which might not align with laws of Physics but will adhere to laws of Mother nature. If you are reading the genre sacred geometry/ beliefs around Mayan civilization

Review : The first thought after reading the last page was 'Ouch! How i wish to meet this man'. The book on one side is a wonderfully written travelogue. What he covers through his journey is amazing, surprising and confusing. THIS IS NOT THE READ FOR EVERYONE. At one point of time, i felt like reading a travel-mystery fiction . Previous life, After Life, and so many areas which i personally dont invest my faith in (may be i am not evolved as the author says :p but i tried to understand the perspective, if i had his brain) are often observed in the story. I don't regret reading this as i also found some striking similarities from the script to what i believe in.

Example :
Matter tells space how to curve, and curved space tells matter how to move
- Theory of Relativty
Unity Consciousness Grid allows human consciousness on a specific level just past good-evil consciousness, serepent of light and serepent of light is an energy that guides humanity to find and access Unity Consciousness Grid

There is a whole other world out there believing in prophecies, Kundalini, earth energy etc. These people have taken it upon themselves to help shift and balance our world. I do believe in this and always have, but it amazes me while I am working shopping and watching TV, others are performing ceremonies to welcome in the female light and traveling the world to indigenous worlds. I am in awe. This book is not intimidating, it reads like an adventure and had me looking up history on the Mayans, Incas, Maori's. I am not sure why I waited to read this, this it has been sitting on my shelf for the past 15 years, but it called to me....If you decide to read this, keep an open mind and realize not everything is what you have been taught to believe. The world has so much more to offer

I bought this book before a trip out West and read it on the way there.. super cosmic timing. I really enjoyed the perspective, concepts and inspiration--truly resonated with this one 100%. Melchizedek pulled things together for me at a time in my life when synchronicity was beginning to transition from a pleasant surprise, to the common thread... the answer.
I love this piece of work and highly recommend for those interested in a wise and compassionate view on the evolution of our world.

This has being the most CRAZY book I've read in my life. Not because of the content, but mainly due to the experience I went through. I got to experiment altered states of consciousness over and over, visualizing the places in Mexico, Oceania and Peru that Drunvalo visited. Pretty intense. I believe we are energy and we are in this together.

Found on the bookshelf of the people who employed me to meditate with Bacchanalian wine plants (off the Mediterranean coast of Turkiye). Very intriguing, original and thought provoking. The writing style is woven together with what I can only call an essence of insanity.

My experience with Drunvalo Melchizedek started as a reading suggestion from a dear friend. The first two books were The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; Vol. 1 & 2. Needless to say, the amount of information was overwhelming and extremely radical compared to average modern teachings. Initially, it was a challenge to accept his teachings and perspectives open heartedly, but the more personal research I did on his subjects, the more I found Mr. Melchizedek to be accurate and even revolutionary. Large shifts in my understanding early on stemmed from many of the most recent discoveries in quantum physics. The Serpent of Light continues the lifelong journey that Drunvalo has been engaged in for the good of all creation. Curiously, I had a brief bout of resistance to his recountings of miraculous ceremonies and occurences in the form of doubt. As before with his books and information, the more I studied the writing and the information, the easier it became to digest and believe whole-heartedly. It's been my personal experience with the sharing Drunvalo engages that the longer it's studied and considered the deeper the layers and understanding will go. The Serpent of Life should definitely not be your first Drunvalo Melchizedek read (start with The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life; Vol. 1 & 2 first), but it most certainly shouldn't be you last either. Life is abundant and beautiful. The Serpent of Life simply reminds how incredibly true this is. Read and enjoy! I did!

Disregard for a moment your tendency to believe or disbelieve in spiritual, metaphysical journeys of this sort. I outwardly admit to being a skeptic in all realms--wherein I maintain an open mind but question everything no matter whether presented as fact or faith. It wasn't disbelief in the author's words that caused me to rate the book poorly. Rather, my disappointment in Serpent of Light spurns from its being unfulfilling in the end. Occasionally Melchizedek would provide information that taught me something new. Overall, this new age resource felt, instead, merely like a memoir full of repetitive tales. Melchizedek travels to and fro because he is called time and time again to stick a crystal he can't afford in the dirt. This is not to say nature doesn't have immense power or that his work wasn't important, because who am I to know. This is only to say I wish the author had been less redundant and that I had gotten more out of the book. I had been set up to expect epiphanies.

This is a work of non-fiction which introduces the readers to concepts of the Earth's Kundalini, the Unity Consciousness Grid, and events prophesied for 2012. I found that the author filled the book with details that I , personally, found tedious and confusing to follow (maybe because I did not want to read about details of ceremonies that could not be revealed - pointless). I wish that the author had simply abbreviated the book and led us to an understanding without giving us tedious details of his journeys. This is a book that contains very sound information, but the presentation is scattered and disorganized. I found it a bit frustrating to read. Skimmed over a lot of "journey stuff" I liked the information it provided , but hated the format, so am giving this a 3 -star.

WOW I dont think I have the words to describe my reaction to this book. The author states in the beginning: Read with your heart and not your head. I did just that, I almost didnt have a choice because this book made my heart ache, fill with love, fill with laughter, fill with joy. I was so moved in parts I cried or got teary. The love was a palatable thing.

This book has some way out ideas but I dont think this type of book would appeal to closed minded people, I feel that people wouldnt read this book until they were ready.

I still dont have the words - but I did my best.

I got through half of this book and it had very interesting information in it. The second half was a little redundant as it was about many different ceremonies that had to be performed in order to help this new energy shift take place that we are experiencing. It was interesting to know some of the specific reasons for this Shift we are now going through...but a little boring too:) I have so many other books I want to read half of this was enough for me:)

Parts of it were a bit boring for me, maybe because I'm not sure I believe it all. But it was still interesting. I liked the part where it talked about what numbers mean when they keep showing up in 3's. Like 111 means a flow of energy. And 555 is christ consciousness. I always see those numbers, but usually I see the ones more.

This is so awesome! I feel like I've been asleep until I read some of the things in this book. I previously read of the 26,000 year cycle of yugas in Swami Sri Yuketeshwar's book The Cosmic Science. 150 years later, knowledge of this phenomena is so much more developed. Everyone should know about how the world turns!!!
