About the author

Edmundo Donato was a popular Brazilian writer, whose pseudonym is Marcos Rey. He was born in São Paulo city, state of São Paulo, in 1925. His brother Mário Donato is also a writer. He started writing short stories when he was sixteen years old. His first book is a novella which is called Um Gato no Triângulo, in 1953. He died in 1999 due to complications from a surgery.

read this one in a few hours -- it's a pretty fun story that keeps you hooked and curious for the ending
it's very well written (in a simple and accessible way) so it's pretty enjoyable to read if you're looking for a cool book to read in a day
the ending is sort of a given after a while, but i thought the building up to that point was really well made -- it was lots of fun to follow this investigation
the version i've read had these really awesome illustrations which helped me a lot to picture the scenes
definitely recommended
