It’s a perfect, beautiful day! How will Digby and Kate decide what to do? Should they stay inside and paint pictures or go for a walk in the sunshine? Play checkers (Kate likes to win) or go outside and take pictures of the butterflies? Digby and Kate don’t always agree how to spend their time, but they do agree that they’ll always be the best of friends!
I picked this book up at the library book sale for my kids since we already own another D&K book that they really enjoyed. I didn't like this as much as the other one I own but the kids still liked it. They did think Kate was a bit mean
Digby the dog and Kate the cat are friends who appear to have little in common. Even though this is a beginning reader/early chapter book in the late 1990s, this would be a good fit for a classroom or home collection.
This is a very interesting book for young children and beginning readers. It includes a lot of dialogue and short sentences that eases comprehension; yet, it is interesting enough to catch the reader’s attention. The book includes many stories narrating the lives of two friends and their arguments when deciding which games to play. The book also includes bright pictures that are sure to make every reader smile:)
EASY READER: The relationship between the level headed Digby and the enthusiastic Kate is funny and intertaining. I like how this book has chapters and the perfect amount of descriptive words and dialouge.
I didnt find this book real interesting but it did do a good job on talking about decision making. I wouldnt use this book as a read aloud but i would have it my classroom.
