Three years. So much has changed for Yara, yet much is still the same.

Yara has spent the last three years in Brazil, diligently studying with Vovó to develop her Waker abilities and desperately searching for a cure for Brent. Though her powers—and her control over them—have grown, every possible cure for Brent fails. And they're running out of the only medicine that keeps him alive.

When a letter from the American Wakers recalls Yara and Vovó to California, Yara has to weigh the fading chance of saving Brent against the dangers of placing them all within the grasp of an old enemy. Not only has his power grown, but the barrier between our world and the spirit world is becoming dangerously thin. As the threat to the Wakers increases, Yara doesn't know if she'll be strong enough to defeat him.

Her only hope is to put her trust in some unexpected allies and fully embrace her Waker heritage. If she fails, not only could Brent die, but the power of the Wakers could disappear forever.

I became an avid reader in elementary school, when I first discovered the Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley Twins series. In sixth grade, I began writing plays and recruiting (with force when necessary) my friends to act them out. Most of these early works were inspired by She-Ra, the epitome of girl power to my young self.

I have a hard time enjoying any book without at least a little romance in it. I live in Southern California with my husband, our two children and a large collection of board games. I have worked as a spot-welder, babysitter, janitor, photographer, gymnastics coach, and movie extra. I enjoy bonfires at the beach, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, speed talking, chocolate as a cure-all, and the word "precisely."

I'm the author of Breaking Pointe, Stronger, THE YARA SILVA TRILOGY, including: Intrinsical, Indelible, and Inevitable, and Out of Bounds, the third book in the Pom Pom Periodicals series. With Erica Cameron I'm the co-author of the Laguna Tides series, starting with Taken By Chance. I also co-wrote the pirate adventure Pieces of Jade, books one and two of The Pom Pom Periodicals (That’s The Spirit, Give Me A C) and two short stories in Enchanted: Love Stories of the Paranormal with Melonie Piper.

I received a copy of this book for my stop on the blog tour at Donnie Darko Girl.

Reading Inevitable was bittersweet for me - on one hand, I love this trilogy and was excited to see how it would end, but on the other hand, I didn't want it to end. I will never forget these characters and their story.

Yara and Brent's relationship isn't perfect - Brent's parents hate Yara for a few different reasons, none of which I agree with - but their relationship is so mature it almost does seem perfect. They're able to work through their problems together, and Brent always asks Yara what she thinks because he knows sometimes she only cares what others think. He knows her that well because he pays attention to the little things, all the little details. The love between them is so strong, it's more romantic than some hot muscly guy any day. The fact that he's dying ripped my heart out.

Yara is strong yet vulnerable, working hard for a cure for Brent and never giving up but also having those moments where it's all you can do not to break down and cry. She's amazingly real and has come so far from the first book where she was doing her best to run away from her family legacy as a Waker. I'm as proud of her as Vovó!

Inevitable is a maze of twists and turns that had me anxiously on the edge of my seat and glued to my Kindle, hoping against hope Yara could find a cure for Brent while fighting the threat to the Wakers. This is the kind of story that is so addictive, I know I'll be rereading it again. I've been through so much with these characters in this trilogy, and while I hate to see it end, the ending is impressive. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Book hangovers are really a crazy notion, that is until you read something like The Yara Silva Trilogy in three days! I fell head over heels for the cast of characters and the great imagery and most definitely the story telling. My mind was so smushed by the end of Inevitable and I was twisted emotionally and spent. This trilogy is a great ghostly trio of books that take you on a journey of a girl fighting to get away from, come to terms with and learn to live in her destiny.

Yara Silva is a great MC. She's strong and witty yet weak and vulnerable with a thickening skin as the trilogy progresses.

I was pleasantly surprised by this final installment and so very happy to have it to read immediately after books 1 and 2! Especially with the crazy events at the end of book2!

The race is on to find a cure for Brent and my finger nails suffered from page one! I was captivated and devastated in a rhythmic pace set by Yara's searching fora way to save him and protect those around her. It all gets twisted and tangled then unravels quickly making it an intense read to say the least. I am just dumbfounded and beside myself with the outcome of it all. And on no way wil I spoil one ounce of how it all ends but I am recommending this trilogy to all YA Paranormal fans out there! IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!!

Inevitable is seriously the best way to end a trilogy. At least for Yara Silva trilogy.

If you're done with the second book, you'd know how Brent is not looking so hot right now, not talking literally of course, Brent is always hot in my mind. And the Waker (peoples who could see ghosts and communicate with them) Yara is trying super hard to find a cure for her boyfriend. And as if it's not enough, this enemy comes up to ruin everything.

I've had always liked Yara Silva, even from the beginning of book one. Yes, she had flaws, and yes, there are this moments where I am annoyed by her. But what's a character without flaws? She fights for what she believes and I totally admired her for not giving up. because those conflicts guys, the majority of it are big. I have no idea how to solve it if I were Yara, I don't want to be her lol. Yara's boyfriend, Brent, was a tiny bit (or a lot?) pessimistic sometimes. But hey, he's on the verge of his life, it's normal for dying people to be pessimistic. I love him though, my heart broke for him. Love the other characters too, love Vovo, love everyone but I'm just going to share my feelings about my favorite two characters above.

The plot was super exciting! I'm a bit bored at the beginning though, that I ended up putting it down for a few days, but I finished it and I am satisfied with how everything ends. I am big for Lani Woodland's writing style, love it!!!

Well, that's it folks. The end of the trilogy. There is no more and let me tell you, this book really did a terrific job of wrapping every single thing up. What started in the first book and continued to build up until this one wrapped up nicely in the end. The author left no stone unturned and did it without a single fluctuation in storyline.

This book picked up and dove head first into the unanswered questions lingering from the first two books and opened up quite a few new ones and managed to answer each and every single one of them. I don't want to say too much about the story because there is so much that goes on in here I'm afraid that I'll spoil something accidently. You meet a group of new folks that are pivotal to everything that has and will happen with Yara and her friend and family. There are so many old and new faces that appear, you would think it would get confusing, but it really doesn't because the author is just that good at writing characters into a story. The final ending leaves you with closure although it's sad because it is a great final ending. I sort of hope the author writes more, but at the same time, she ended it so perfectly...

All in all, this was a really fun series to read and a fun trip to take with characters that will stick with me for all my eternity I believe. A very unique story with twists and turns in each and every book that keep the fun going every step of the way. I really enjoyed this trilogy.

This was one of those "I love the ending but now I am so sad it is over!", books. Lani takes the characters to a whole new level of exciting in this book. I loved the spirit bonding that happened in this book and the powers it gave them. I loved the soul bonding and the love that it showed. There was sorrow and fear and letting go. There was love to last forever and friendships that made it through everything. I think I am just going to have to read this series over again. It was that good. If you like reading about spirits, and the people that help them cross over this is the book for you.

Finished the Yara Silva Trilogy and I must say I had a wonderful time reading it. Without giving much away, what begins as a ghost/coming of age story eventually becomes just so entwined with a bunch of awesome supernatural concepts and a villain who you just REALLY love to hate. The action scenes were great, the romantic aspect wasn't overkill like some series' can be and there were some cool twists and turns that concluded in a satisfying ending. Definitely recommend this trilogy and now I have to check into more Lani Woodland stuff.

I liked this book a lot! It still had quite a few typos and missing words and punctuation, but the plot was great! I liked the ending, especially the karma part. This series was great and I'm glad I found these books. Definitely recommend them.

I really wish it had been longer. I only gave it four instead of five stars because there were a lot of editting issues. However, I am sure that will be fixed. Finally, a series finale that I didn't have major issues with.

This book was a roller coaster! Every time I thought they'd got a lead, things would flip a 180 degrees and they'd be back at square one. I absolutely loved the book! And I did not see that ending coming. I'd recommend everyone to try this series =)
Also Brent and DJ are love <3

Great ending to this wonderful trilogy! I love books with happy endings. Even the sad parts seem heroic rather than pointlessly tragic.
