Rate this book

Just what I needed. This book is an incredibly scientific breakdown of the thought, habit, and language used for changing an athletes movement patterns. He included lots of research and studies to support his suggestions. I definitely skipped a few sections that just got really detailed and fast-forward to the "nuggets" I could use. Overall a great read if you feel like a broken record who can't get through to your athletes.

Coach better

An excellent resource to help you reflect on and reframe the language you use as a coach. Well researched and accessible. Useful models provided to help you practically apply more effective cues.

One of the BEST books I’ve read about training and coaching.

This is a MUST for any coach out there looking to improve their coaching game.

I’ve been in the industry a long time and this was truly a game changer.

The words we use when coaching matter! This book absolutely changed the way I looked at coaching and made me come to realize that I was over coaching in every way. If you really want to improve your delivery and impact during coaching, this is a great resource. I cannot recommend this book enough!

The first part of the book was interesting and probably useful once I’ve had a chance to think about it in more detail. I would have given it more stars, except the “25 movement sequences” were all pretty much the same. Some variety would have been useful.

Very detailed and organized book. Is much more like a textbook so it is not always the most enjoyable read per se. Overall though great information.
