Tracy's Hot Mail

Rate this book
In a series of gossipy emails, Tracy dishes the dirt on her friends and colleagues. From her benefit-fiddling father, her porn obsessed boyfriend, even her pocket billiards champion, boss. Then of course, there’s Mr Blunt, a serial arse grabber, and not forgetting Olivia, the office tart. Behind Tracy's wide eyed innocence and reassuring smile, lies a muck-spreader of the highest calibre.

BLOG TOUR REVIEW

Review for 'Tracy's Hot Mail' by T.A Belshaw.

Read and reviewed for ZooLoos Book Tours and T.A Belshaw.

Publication Date 17th February 2016.

This is the first book I have read by this author. It is also the first book in the 'Tracy's Hot Mail' series.

This novel consists of 25 chapters/emwile. The chapters are short in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This may be the first book I have read by TA Belshaw but I can promise you it won't be the last!!! As soon as I've written this up I'm off to add all his books to my wishlist.

I absolutely love, love, LOVED reading this novella!!! I genuinely cannot remember the last time I laughed so much or so hard!! It is such a refreshing larger than life read. I absolutely devoured it in less than 2 hours and got quite a few funny looks when I burst out laughing while reading it outside the school waiting for my son... I advise you not to do this!! I literally laughed out loud and had tears streaming down my eyes. I have read many books that made me laugh but very few that had my jaw dropping one second and then howling in laughter the next within the first few sentences!!! I loved the double entendres that were littered throughout this book and TA Belshaw placed them perfectly!!!

I absolutely love the fact that this book is written in the format of emails as it means you can easily finish a chapter quickly and then pick up back where you left off when your ready, not that I needed to do this as I flew through it so quickly. It is such an easy and fast paced read you can easily read it in your lunch break. Pick up this book and get ready to meet the most strangest, naive, pervy people you have ever met!!! Tracy constantly made me laugh with her naivety and TA Belshaw captured her essence perfectly in his writing while also showing what life can be like for young women. Tracy was definitely entertaining with her naivety but some of the things that she did were also worthy of a cringe award!! The gossip that Tracy writes to Emma about include her family, her work, her nights out, her ex and so much more. Although Tracy. Is extremely dippy she is also a very likable character and I can't wait to see what she gets up to next!!!

Pick up your copy today to “meet“ Tracy and

*Her Dad who is a benefit cheat with a new job with fiddles.

*Her Mum who likes to make sure she has plenty of food!

*Her Ex Simon who spends more time watching p0rn than her.

*Her Three Bosses:

-Mr Winkle who is a happy chappy with a funny walk and a lisp. -Mr Blunt who likes to get up close and personal with his staff when he slaps their bums and much more.

-Mr Tugger who is constantly playing with a certain something in his pocket.

*Olivia 'the office tart' who spends alot of her time in Mr Blunts office much to the despair of Mrs Blunt who tried to pull a fireman's trousers off thinking he was a stripper.

*Ms Broad beam who gets her butt stuck getting out of her boyfriends car

*Mr Pranger her driving instructor who likes to test her on how she gets in and out of the car in a skirt

*Spotty Irene who tries all sorts to clear her face

*Petrol Pauline who may or may not be pregnant with Barry the Brake's surrogate baby but does Mike the mechanic know more than he is letting on?

*Tommy Tightpecs who is the office's version of the guy from the Diet Coke advert.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to TA Belshaw on what promises to be a massive best seller!!! The most hilarious book I have read this year! Welcome to my favourite author list TA Belshaw and here's to your next explosive and hilarious success 🥂!!!

Overall a fast paced, hilarious and cheeky laugh a minute book that will have tears streaming down your face!!

Genres covered in this book include Humour, Modern Fiction, Satire, Women's Contemporary Fiction, Humourous Fiction and Satire Fiction amongst others.

75 pages.

This book is just £1.99 to purchase on kindle or free on kindle unlimited (at time of review) and £4.99 for paperback via Amazon which I think is an absolute bargain for this book!!!

Rated 5 /5 (I loved it ) on Goodreads, Instagram, Amazon UK and Amazon US and on over 30 Facebook pages plus my blog on Facebook.

Tracy is a very likeable character, who provides many laughs through her narrative. I am hoping to read much more from her in the future. The author writes in email format throughout, which makes it easy to read. Good fun.

Oh, what a hoot this book was! I have been dying to read this for a while now ever since it was brought to my attention and for a swift novella, this had me smiling, laughing, and feeling quite nostalgic!

Tracy, Tracy, Tracy, you poor naive little lady! I found her so endearing, but totally not PC! I loved how we were living her life through her emails to her best friend Emma. I think if I was Emma, I would be looking forward to these emails! How can so much happen to one person and how can she not realise what is going on around her? She must have lived a sheltered life! I did chuckle at a lot of things Tracy had said because she just didn't see it, she didn't see what really was going on and I did love her naivety.

This has the feels of Coco Pinchard by Robert Bryndza, and I adored that series, so to find another one like it, well it's a winner in my eyes. I really can't wait to see how Tracy deals with the next chapter of her life, I know for one it will not be boring!

Even though these were first published, nearly 12 years ago, I think they hold up well, and I think they are fantastic escapism for sure.

I definitely found this a fun way to spend an hour or so, lost in Tracy's world. She has definitely brightened up my day!

Tracy is an absolute delight! Naïve and innocent in many ways, she’s totally oblivious to so much of what goes on around her, like her boss’s trouser pocket fiddling and her driving instructor’s ogling. Her views on her office colleagues, her family, neighbours and new housemate are all hilarious as she unwittingly divulges secrets left right and centre to her friend Emma in a series of emails written while she’s supposed to be working or piggybacking on someone else’s wifi. Most of the characters that surround her are cringeworthy in lots of ways but poor little Tracy sees the good in most of them with a fluffy outlook on life that makes this short book a laugh a minute. Written in brief chapters, it’s ideal for dipping in and out of but once started, I just had to keep on reading to find out the latest news on everyone. Now she’s being replaced with a dumb (or should I say even dumber) terminal, I can’t wait to see what happens next to our gossip girl.

Tracy’s Hotmail is such a fun and easy to read novella which was perfect for dipping in and out of during a busy week but equally as good for a one sitting read.
I loved the idea of writing a book in emails. Tracy regularly emails her friend Emma, giving her all the juicy office gossip and news from home. Despite being really gosippy, and on occasions judgmental – Tracy is such a fun character. She is very typical of a naïve, young person starting out in the office and often misinterprets or misunderstands things happening around her.
Full of innuendo and humour, I loved Tracy’s emails and the certainly brightened my day. I often found myself laughing out loud and chuckling along at the antics of the office staff or Tracy’s dad.
This novella was a great introduction to Tracy’s world and I cannot wait to join the tour next month for the next installments Tracy’s Celebrity Hotmail.

I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you @tabelshaw and @zooloosbooktours for my #giftedbook!

This is my first T.A. Belshaw and this is the first book in the "Tracy's Hot Mail" series.
Swipe for the synopsis. I was drawn to this book because purple is my favorite color and I loved the comic-like cover.

Be careful reading this book in public, it is laugh out loud funny and had me laughing so hard I was crying. Tracy's character is scatterbrained and naive. Getting herself into ridiculous situations because of the choices she makes. She is joined by bff Emma and the dynamic between the two is hilarious!

This is a quick read as it's written in email format. I enjoyed the format of this book and am looking forward to seeing how this series unfolds.

Today, is my spot on ZooloosBookTours blog tour for Tracy’s Hot Mail by T.A. Belshaw. I read this funny short story as an ebook for this tour and I’m glad I took part on this blog tour as this story was hilarious. It tells a story the main character sends through emails to her best friend. She is an admin girl and her adventures are simply hilarious, I especially loved reading about the driving lessons. This short story does not take itself seriously and it made a nice change to the many thrillers and crime novels that I read. It was a bit of lighthearted reading, and it was a very quick read. It was a proper laugh-out-loud short story, and I’m looking forward to reading more by the author for the next blog tour date and this story’s sequel. I’m giving Tracy’s Hot Mail 4 stars as I liked this quick and funny read.

Tracy, bless her, is a young woman trying to make her way in life and is crushingly naive. She is oblivious to why her boss keeps fiddling in his pocket, why her driving instructor thinks it's necessary for her to wear short skirts, and all sorts of other little things.
She is telling her friend, via a series of emails, all the gossip about her colleagues, neighbours, family etc, with some brilliant nicknames. No one is safe and nothing is missed.
This is such a light hearted quick read. You could dip in and out but I found myself reading on until I'd finished. It's not malicious in any way and you can't help but laugh or shake your head in disbelief.
Can't wait to see what she gets up to next.

This is not my usual kind of read, but when I found this book in my inbox with this incredible cover I couldn’t say no.

This was an incredible little read, it was light-hearted and a lot of fun.

Tracy had just started a new job and couldn’t not keep her friend Emma updated on all life’s gossip and secrets.

Well… what can I say, I am a woman and I love a nice bit of gossip so this was a fantastic read for… well, any woman.

Hearing all the gossip from what her colleagues are like and get up to, to the local shop keepers. Nothing gets past Tracy, the ditzy naive gossip queen.

If you are looking for a laugh out loud quick read then give this a go.
Told through a series of emails from Tracy to her friend Emma you will laugh out loud saying no-one could possibly be this naiive could they!!
The name of the characters are good fun and I'd stifle a giggle at the nicknames too.
Is it PC - no, is it believable - no, is it fun - yes!
I wonder where Tracy's second adventures will go!

Tracy has a new office job, but she's not about to allow that minor annoyance to interfere with important stuff like emailing her best friend, Emma. And there's plenty to gossip about. For a start there're her three bosses: Mr Tugger - who's forever playing with something in his pocket, Mr Winkle - a happy soul with a lisp and a funny walk, and the serial backside-slapper, Mr Blunt.

Others at the sharp end of Tracy's keyboard are Olivia - the office tart, Ms Broadbeam, Spotty Irene and Tommy Tightpecs the IT man. People outside the work environment aren't safe from the Tracy treatment either as she keeps Emma up-to-date on the scandal involving Petrol Pauline from the garage and Mike the Mechanic.

And Tracy's personal life fairs no better. Through her emails we hear all about the boyfriend - more preoccupied with girls online than with her, her benefit-cheat father, and the extremely creepy driving instructor, Mr Pranger.

Written by T. A. Belshaw, who's found the perfect voice for this character, there was something to make me laugh out loud in every chapter of Tracy's Hot Mail. This is a recommended read for any time you need cheering up or for when you're in the mood for a right good goss.

Tracy sends emails to her friend Emma, telling her all about what is going on in her life at work and home. Tracy’s naivety was entertaining and her experiences with her driving instructor were cringeworthy but funny.

This is an entertaining and short read. Full of innuendos and real laugh out loud moments. I read this in one sitting and it kept me entertained.

A fabulous new cover for the book makes it even more attractive and eye catching.

The funniest book I've read in a long long while... wilder, wittier and a hell of a lot naughtier than Bridget Jones..Tracy's Hot Mail is a rollicking laugh- a -minute romp that will rattle your funny bone and tickle your fancy from beginning to end. Warning: don't read in a public place.. you'll only regret it!

Tracy is a new addition to the office. At Nineteen, she is a girl about town who knows it all, or so she thinks. Like most people these days, she's addicted to Facebook, MSN and other Social Media, but when she's told that she can't access these at work, she resorts to keep her best friend abreast of events via a series of e-mails.

Everyone falls under the ever watchful eye of Tracy, as she puts her own unique spin on the people that surround her, both at work and at home.

Tracy's Hot Mail is full of characters and events to make you laugh, and sometimes cringe, at Tracy's naive understanding of them.

From the office letch, who is constantly playing with coins in his pocket, right through to the driving instructor, who insists that she needs more lessons getting in and out of the car before she's ready to take her test, Tracy's Hot mail will have you chuckling away like a Hyena.

T A Belshaw has successfully tapped into the feminine psyche of a nineteen year old young woman, giving Tracy's Hot Mail the perfect voice and whilst she's quite naive, the events that go on around her would transfer well to the small screen.

Move over 'Belle de Jour'....There's a new kid in town.

Tracy’s Hot Mail by T A Belshaw

This is the funniest book I have read for quite a while. I really loved the scatty, clueless Tracey as she reveals all to her friend, Emma. The humour drips off the page as Tracey unloads the events of her life in a continuous droll fashion-even though she wouldn’t have a clue what droll is! Almost the first sentence says it all “Just sending a quick mail to let you know how I’m getting on at my new job.” A quick email isn’t in Tracey’s repertoire. T A Belshaw keeps the reader entertained throughout, though it isn’t just Tracey who comes across as funny. The supporting characters are also entertaining and so very lifelike I felt I was watching a sitcom as I read. Thank you for a great read!

I read it in one go, my mouth continually upturning as Tracey's diary, full of innuendos, unfolded.
A pseudo-innocent account - of first job, first home, first driving lessons, written in racey style -which never slows down until she is replaced by a dumb terminal.
You have to be in the right mood - or to want to be put into the right mood - to appreciate this book to the full.
Take no notice of the meagre rating. It is only this reader's reaction. I know there are many who would thoroughly enjoy this well-written fluffy bit of nonsense. And there are no doubt many people out there in the big wide world just like Tracey, who could not work out why Old Man Tugger kept his right hand in his pocket.

If you like Bridget Jones, then this book is for you. This book is a series of e-mails from Tracy to her friend. Absolutely hilarious, Tracy is completely oblivious to the fact that everyone around her is a bit weird and/or perverted. This is the trashier version of Bridget Jones, very clever and in parts I had to stop myself and think, a man wrote this!

A terrific insight into Tracy's life - very funny - I am eagerly awaiting the sequel.

Giggling away, as I read this book, it felt like an up to date e-version of a carry-on film. Lots of subtle and not so subtle humour woven into the life of a ladette. I could hear Tracy's voice in my head and 'see' her practicing getting in and out of the car for her driving instructor. I'm not surprised she's soon to be a celebrity.

Not a bad quick read, some laugh out loud moments but also some cheesy moments. If this book was any longer then Tracy would have started to irritate me.
