Bride on Approval

An arranged marriage was not the answer!

Sancia longed to be free from the restrictive atmosphere of her father's house- but her loveless upbringing had convinced her that she'd never be able to respond to a man's lovemaking.

So, when escape was offered in the form of an arranged marriage- along with a lovely Venetian palazzo home- she feared she would still be unhappy.

Giovanni Ricardo Antonelli, the husband chosen for her, certainly embodied all the sophistication and excitement any woman could desire. But could Sancia be like other women, especially when it was her heart, not just her body, that needed for fulfillment?

Disjointed, completely implausible “love story” between an English woman and an Italian man whose marriage of convenience was arranged by their elders. The guy used to be engaged to her mother FOR PETE’ SAKE! All he ever talked about was heroine’s dowry, some moldy Palazzo in sinking Venice. He lied to her about everything, his name, his identity, his mistresses, his relationship with her mom, AND his relationship with her Seekret Half-Sister. The dumb doormat was willing to enter the MOC and patiently wait til he somehow, someday would MAGICALLY fall in love with her, and in the meantime, was prepared to tolerate his sexual liaisons with other women. Being inside this heroine’s head honestly made me sick 🤢🤮

My sister was allowed to read these; I was not and now I am very grateful that I never developed a taste for this trash.
