This simply sucks. Really stupid story. It's made of predictable situations told in an unoriginal way, which is a commonplace in cheap thriller books. The only new thing I found here was the word "doppelganger". Recommended just as practice material for english students.
At first when I read the name of the book I thought that it will be something about psychological, mental lesson or something deeper for life. Then during the reading I imagined a lot of things regarding what it could be. So, it is a story about a unique adventure in a life of a simple person. He met his doppleganger.I don’t want to give the summary of that story, I just want to share with my impressions. To my mind it was an interesting book but I had expected more.It is very strange for me because I don’t believe in doppleganger’s existence. But, by the way, it is an amazing and also a sad story. But the end was very happy and surprising.
I am not into supernatural stories, but I was misled by the title, and I thought it was some kind of 'know thyself' book. And found out it was a fiction about a guy who met his doppelganger (yourself from your past life). But I did enjoy the book. The presentation was engaging and thrilling. Recommended to people who like lite supernatural fictions.
When I began to read "it've been very nice" I said, but after the third chapter I felt bad because the story was going to a terrible novel thriller story. It has a very annoying dialogue, lots of plot holes and repetitive narrative. Sometimes I catch myself asking "who is the dumb that wrote this SH#T?"
I can vividly remember reading this book when I was 12 years old and being overwhelmed by the tense supernatural thriller plot. I haven't read it since, so I can't really say whether it really is well-written.
read this book during secondary school for English Literature Class...I have to say this was probably one of the most memorable books I read during the whole 5 years in secondary school.. besides sherlock holmes of coz.. for a 14/15 year old me, I quite enjoyed it and I had good marks for that subject.. this book sort of became the jumpstart, cause later I found myself interested in doppelganger based novels..
This is a good novel. I like it. When i read it, i was like "OMG!,what was happened next?. I want to know about it" and i continue to read it. I was "Oh! i can't wait about it, i have to know the end of the story, how is andrea and kati and what is the story about the doppelganger." This story make me feel can stop reading. I love it and like it, it is a very wonderful novel story.
Not a book I'd recommend to a friend.I like how the word 'doppelganger' first appeared in the book.It was so creative In the end, his doppelganger was the one who saved his wife and child, that was disappointing after all those scenes.
My first audio book from the app on my phone. Interesting story set in Budapest, about young married couple. Meeting with a doppelganger changes their happines and peace.
