THE ELDERS
After being invaded by aliens from another world who intend to destroy the earth, a small group of humans escapes by traveling back in time sixty-five million years to the end of the Cretaceous, just before the mass extinction event that eliminated the dinosaurs. The society established by these humans consists of two groups, the first group having a rather primitive life style and the second group maintaining some semblance of the technology of the far distant future. Members of the first group know little of the second group (the elders) except for very limited but positive interactions. However, their world is disrupted when they are discovered by the aliens. The latter, in their quest to eliminate all humans, have traveled back to the far distant past. The story is told by Jo-sep, a member of a small village, who because of unexpected circumstances, is forced to learn much more about the elders than he ever would have anticipated.
