Being a ghost can get really boring, Jessica could tell you all about it. Sure, every once in a while, you get to have fun scaring some poor folks who had bought a suspiciously cheap house. But after they run away screaming in the middle of the night, you are stuck in an empty building again. Plus, when you have no luck with solving your own murder, there is not even a flickering lightbulb at the end of the dark tunnel that is your gruesome afterlife.
Even though he is very much alive, Aiden sometimes feels like a ghost as well. His moms never ask his opinion about anything, not even about moving into a haunted house. It’s not all bad, since the ghost who appears by his bed every night turns out to be a really cute young woman. However, when magic comes to play and it turns out that Aiden’s sister might become the next target of a mysterious serial killer, his life gets a little too interesting.

Author of various romance novels, her stories center around strong female heroes and realistic relationships. She loves building her own complex worlds and listens to her characters’ opinions while writing. Then she puts them through unimaginable torment for messing up with her plot.
I literally devoured this story, from the 4th chapter , I was invested in the characters and couldn't help but chuckle to myself . By chapter 20 I was so engrossed my husband startled me by asking who I was talking to , silly man I'm warning them who the killer is and they aren't listening he rolled his eyes and went back to the TV. Be warned you will need tissues but even though I cried I cannot recommend this story enough I'd have given 10 stars if possible .
Well !! What can I say Anna's done it again , this book will make you chuckle ,laugh , gasp and cry.amazing, brilliant ,strong characters and a good story ,it will keep you interested from beginning to end.
What a great book! Another hit from Anna! I could not put this one down, read from cover to cover! I seriously suggest checking out this authors other books. You will not be disappointed!!
Anna Svoboda is an incredible writer who can deftly and easily weave stories through various genres. It’s an absolute pleasure reading her stories, and I can’t wait for the next one. I started reading her work through the Whatever It Takes series, and won’t be stopping anytime soon! You’re missing out if you’re not reading!
Purchased a while ago and just now binge read in two days. LOVED IT. I can see this being a great movie to watch. While the cynic in me picked out the antagonist rather quickly (i.e. no surprise on that one) the additional twist was a nice bonus I did not see coming! Great book.
No lie, this book was a little heartbreaking for me to start with… and a little scary too. I enjoyed the suspense and mystery that unfolded within the plot. I had fun trying to figure out which suspicious character was the bad guy too. This book is definitely more than just a romance!
The Girl From the Other Side by Anna Svoboda is a paranormal mystery suspense thriller. Aiden, Val, and their moms buy a house out in the middle of nowhere. Little do they know, it is haunted by 7 girls who were murdered by an unknown serial killer who may still be on the loose. Val is close to the age of the girls when they were murdered, so her family does whatever they can to try to keep her safe. Will she survive living in this house or will Val be the next victim?
This book is a page turner and once you pick it up, it is difficult to put down. The mystery unravels at a pretty quick pace and although it is a bit predictable, it keeps your attention until the very end. The author definitely takes us on a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish. You can't help but feel the heartbreak of the 7 girls whose lives were taken before they even really started. Their end was tragic and not being able to move on to the other side is yet another tragedy for them. I loved the friendships and relationships that grew within this story. I have conflicted feelings about the epilogue, it was happy but also depressingly sad to think of such a long life without true love. I would definitely love to read more from this world!
Alden and his family move into a house soon to find out it is haunted. By a girl who had been murdered. It looks like his sister may be next on the murderer's list. We meet neighbors who don't always seem to be who they appear to be.
I felt bad for Alden's sister who seemed to be getting treated badly in school and not listened to at home all the time. I enjoyed this storyline and at time had me laughing. I did figure out who the killer was but reading the journey to the end of the book is what kept me wanting to read. I received this book from the author.
This book is a fun cross between a murder mystery and a ghost story with mortal and supernatural drama to round it out. Moving through the plot is like peeling back the layers on an onion. There is a lot going on, but it all gets resolved in the end. I was very satisfied with the book as a whole and the resolution in particular. Definitely will read Valerie's book when it comes out.
You get on an up and down right away, fast paced and definitely have to finish when you pick it up! I definitely cried reading about the girls, this story is so beautifully written and I cannot wait to read another! Thank you to the author for gifting this ebook and all thoughts/opinions above and my own!
Wow! A brilliant story which has suspense, humour, love and everything in between. Don’t want to give you any spoilers, so I’ll just say READ THE BOOK, it is brilliant and so cleverly written. I would give it 6 starts if I could

I love a good who did it storyline. Ghosts, witches, vampires, oh my. I kept waiting for a werewolf to make an appearance. Kept me wanting to read all in one day but I couldn't until Friday. I want more of Valerie. Her story needs to be told.

What a beautiful story! Anna Svoboba does not disappoint the reader with this book at all. It has realistic, relatable characters, and the story is told in such a way that it draws the reader right in to the her fictional world. I loved it and highly recommend it!
I really enjoy this author. I thought this book entertaining. I thought it was going to be a light read, but it def hit some pretty dark moments. It struck a nice balance with both, and I totally binged it. I do love me a bit of magic and supernatural!
Read it in 2 days! Absolutely brilliant story! I loved it!! I want there to be more! I will read it again! 😍😍😆😆 I tend to get bored reading books but this one captured my attention and I love Jess! 😁
