I totally agree. I was very disappointed too
I DNFed at page 113. I had no interest in the characters and there didn't seem to be much of a story.
SPOILERS: I personally think it simply wasnt the point of the book, in the end she does write about how the women have become one being in a bland way and she mc realises all that for herself, but i get what you mean
