I am going light and easy on the first one - He Who Fights with Monsters. LitRPG genre. I'm about 40 pages in. Not bad and good reviews so I'll git it a go.The Wandering Inn - A web serial that is the closest thing to Terry Pratchett I've read in years. I'd say a cross between post-apocalyptic, litRPG, and fantasy. Extremely well written. There are about 11 kindle volumes out and the website has it all for free (I think I'm about 12,000,000 words in right now).
Children of Dune - because after the second movie came out, I started a re-read of the series (I think for maybe the third time?). This may be heresy, but this is the first time that I think the movie is better. The editing is so much tighter in the movie with lots of things that turned out to not be necessary left in the book. The movie is very faithful to the story though.
Jade War - yes...four books at once. This one I may abandon though. It is well written, but I've read some things that make me think I won't like the ending and there are so many other books that I want to read that I shouldn't waste time out of guilt.
Delilah Dirk and the King's Shilling - I almost forgot this one. A graphic novel set in the middle east with a brave heroine as the protagonist. A fun historical romp.

Tonight I will start reading The Dark Throne by Jocelyn A. Fox , this is the 3rd in the Fae War Chronicles. The first 2 were really good so I got my hopes up.
I like to see the variety of books everyone is reading.Nancy I'll be curious to learn how that book was.
Just finished The Babysitter: My Summers with a Serial Killer and started Hell in the Heartland: Murder, Meth, and the Case of Two Missing Girls. Still paused on 78-187880 and working on The Day of the Dolphin.

Adventures of a Vegan Vamp
Having fun reading this one, though the vegan term is used oddly, it's just to get the idea of not-blood across.
Just finished When You Had Power and just love this interesting and possible world built where power (the kind that fuels our homes and transportation etc.) is the biggest commodity and people create new home units where they adopt full grown adults into their family unit if it's a match. Really interesting.

Right now I'm plowing through The Last Man, an apocalyptic novel by Mary Shelley set in 2076. I see no sign of oncoming doom so far. Apparently Shelley believed that by the time the year 2050 rolled around, all of us would be incredibly wordy and speak in nested sentences full of polysyllabic vocab. This book makes Frankenstein: by Mary Shelley -- not known for its punchy prose -- seem like Hemingway.
I thought that one was fun Nancy. Well, dark, but, entertaining and interesting. Kind of thought-provoking.
So I just finished The Light Pirate, and tonight I think I'll be starting this month's club read a bit late, 1984, since it just became available from the library.I suspect it will be a bit surreal reading it again.
I just finished Flesh and Spirit, which is a fairly dark high fantasy. Really enjoyed it. I'll be starting the second book in the duology Breath and Bone.Has an ongoing apocalypse in it.
Look here, Mr. Graham Jones, I Was a Teenage Slasher was NOT supposed to make me feel feelings! Started and finished an ARC read last night, Wicked Desires and now I need a palette cleanser haha.
