L.K. Shear There is no dubcon in this book. Happy for you to reach out with the section you are referencing, so I can update my trigger warnings as needed. Want to make sure the book file isn't corrupted or anything because there is no dubcon or assault scenes in this series.

River Um... Chapter 46 Mara has her mate Dominic violently choking her and raping her. Yes she feels lust but she gives NO consent, there is NO previous relationship between the characters, he bites her violently, covers them both in blood, the whole time her arms are being held down by his other mate. She is afraid, angry, and violent. He is threatening, angry, and violent. I get that they both are into it but if consent is not given (or even fucking implied as they literally hate each other for most of the series), even if the FMC justifies she may have liked it later, it is still NON CONSENSUAL SEX. The book cover says: LK SHEAR THE PATH OF STARS on KU in Amazon. Is this not the right book? Did they insert a chapter that didn't belong? Please feel free to explain this to me as after I read it I was forced to medicate myself I was so upset.

L.K. Shear The scene is supposed to come across as a rough claiming scene, but I can definitely understand how it could come off differently as I re-read it. Thank you for your review, I will re-edit the scene to make her consent more implicit, and definitely make it read as less violent.. I appreciate you letting me know this upset you, and I apologise that my writing triggered you, that was not my intent. This was my second ever book, and I clearly have some work to go back and do. I really hope you are okay. As well as updating the scene, I will update the trigger warnings.

River Thank you. I was starting to think I was crazy as someone else didn't even remember it being there. I have no idea how anyone could forget it, it gave me nightmares. I know other people like it so I hate giving bad reviews. It's why I love trigger warnings, I don't want to be triggered, obviously, but also authors don't have to suffer terrible feedback because I just don't read that book. Again. Once the edit goes up let me know and I will change my review on all the platforms I went on yesterday to warn people.
